Technology, Meet Fashion: Rebecca Minkoff For Stellé Speaker Clutches

The Stellé Speaker Clutches are designed to look like they walked straight off the runway, draped in luxury materials like woven leather and snakeskin, but with an added bass boost.

We had a chance to experience the Bluetooth-powered sounds of the clutches in Las Vegas during CES and heard unexpectedly rich sounds bursting from the speakers that we paired easily to our iPhones. The clutches can also be connected to devices via USB and 3.5mm stereo cables and include a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for up to 15 hours of playback. With a removable strap, the speaker clutch is meant to be shown off, worn like a purse, or removed and placed in prime tabletop viewing at a party.

With a starting price tag at $300, it's definitely a luxury addition to an audiophile's life. The company expects to announce its first retail partners this February.
