If you've been wondering what's next for the Wii after conquering Super Mario Galaxy and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, then wonder no more. The E3 Summit kicked off this week, and the President of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, revealed yesterday at a press event that new titles for both Mario and Zelda are in the works.
Iwata admitted there is a dire need for quality games like Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii, which I have to totally agree with, since the sub-par mass of third party games and movie tie-ins are getting a bit old.

I have a soft spot in my heart for handmade geekery because it reflects an almost old-fashioned devotion to all things geek. Spending the long hours making a quilt of this magnitude has to say something about Etsy seller CarolinaPatchworks — is it she herself or a treasured love one who adores The Legend of Zelda? The price is steep ($425) but for what you get, a geeky heirloom to be enjoyed for years and passed down to your future geek generations, it seems pretty appropriate.

Have you made your Black Friday wish list yet? Nintendo will release its special edition Nintendo DS bundles on Friday and after a preview I can attest that they are an awwww-inspiring gift for the kid, teen or grown up gamer in your life.
Each of the special Nintendo DS bundles, which will be priced around $160, pairs a custom-color Nintendo DS system with one of the platform's most popular titles, so it's the perfect starter kit.

Who knew that cutie patootie Paul Rudd's early career featured a painfully geeky gamer ad! This Super Nintendo advertisement from the early '90's was used to promote the popular entertainment system and old-school games like Zelda and Football. In this "action-packed" commercial, you see Rudd getting his game on in front of a JumboTron-like screen.

I can think of few things that are more geeky than the Legend of Zelda Map Belt, but I also happen to think it's adorable.
The belt is quite literally an original Legend of Zelda map that's been turned into a belt. It's the perfect geek apparel for next year's E3 conference.

Flickr user linkcake recently made what I think is a prize-worthy Zelda Cake display for her daughter, who having become a new Zelda fan thanks to the Wii, asked for a themed birthday surprise this year.
Being a Wii fan myself, and having recently started an Ace of Cakes addiction, I think this is adorable.
Totally Geeky or Geek Chic?

Since when are children's cartoon characters passive-aggressive a-holes? The following clips were gathered from a single season of The Legends of Zelda, an animated series based on the popular Nintendo games. The show didn't last long and it's no wonder why.

On Sunday, Buzz got the chance of a lifetime for any Chuck fan: she hung with the cast backstage and moderated the panel at this year's Wondercon! Since I don't watch the show on a regular basis (um, where have I been?!), I totally geeked-out when Adam Baldwin took the stage. He plays super spy John Casey in the show, but of course I (and apparently the rest of the audience) love him from his time on Firefly.

Ever since Chuck first started, I've been wondering what would happen if Morgan joined Chuck on a mission. Well, this week, it sort of happened. Morgan had a spy caper of his own to carry out, tracking Anna (Anna!!) with her new boyfriend — who then ended up playing a part in Chuck, Sarah, and Casey's real mission.
