I've been pretty open about my subsiding feelings for wall decals. But upon finding this Edward Cullen Life-Size Decal ($60), I feel confident saying the trend has finally jumped the shark. This product is nearly as creepy as, if not creepier than, the Psycho-inspired shower curtain.

I know I said I am over wall decals, but I can make exceptions. The peeps from Wall Candy Arts approached me about their decals, and being the sweetheart that I am I gave their selection a gander. Most of their decals seem to be for children, which I'm all for: kids should have their fun.

We've discussed our love of wall decals, but wall murals may be even more amazing. In addition to being unbelievably easy to apply, the decals allow commitment phobes to choose a theme for their tot's room and not feel guilty when they decide to change it a year later. Wallies Big Murals make it even easier to decorate your lil one's room with its life-size decals that stick right to your walls, without ever injuring them.

I am constantly drawn to wall decals, but they can be decidedly feminine. If you have a little plane, train, dinosaur and outer space enthusiast on your hands consider dressing up his walls with designs that reflect his vivid imagination and love of boy things.
The Transport Wall Decals by Wallcandy ($60) will take your guy on a magical ride whenever he looks at them and will complement masculine bedroom decor.

I try my best to keep my desk area at work clean, organized and free from clutter. But my wall space, now that's a different story. It's still quite stark and bare, but these blue and black 8-bit Wall Decals would be the ideal way to spruce up my space.

The geeky wall decals I've seen in the past have been cute, but the subjects (Space Invaders and Super Mario Bros.) seemed more appropriate for application in a kid's room.
Here, though, are some wall decals that feature a modern symbol of technology — the power pole — which come off looking starkly chic. From Ferm Living, these Power Pole Wall Decals (click through to the wall stickers section) would certainly make you feel like you're living in a technological wonderland — but would you want that right in your living room?

I adore wall decals because they are a fun, but semipermanent decoration option that kids and adults can both love. (Unlike say, crayon murals all over the walls!) Etsy seller Lunule sells these imaginative wall art installations made from hand-cut vinyl for about $25.
She designed her first decal for her daughter's room and later included the patterns in the book Making Stuff For Kids.

How much geekery can you stand? Do you love your games so much that you would plaster them on your wall? If so, Blik has just introduced Nintendo wall decals, inspired by vintage games, which can make your lair just that much gamier.

Decorating a nursery can be a tricky For one, people who rent apartments don't always want to spend the time and effort designing a baby room only to move out months later. And for those who are settled in their big cozy homes, they might like the option to change things up every now and then.
So instead of marrying yourself to stripes or a safari themed room, use wall decals to set or add to the motif.
