I know most of you still use home printers, so listen up — recycling those empty printer cartridges has just gotten a whole lot easier thanks to HP and Walgreens! Last week I purchased a new HP cartridge and included in the box was a little envelope (postage paid) for me to mail away my old cartridge for recycling. And then after a quick trip to Walgreens, I noticed on my bag that Walgreens has a printer cartridge recycling program where you just take your empty cartridge to the photo counter for recycling — how great is that?!

File Walgreens under Awesome twice today; first, today's their Free Film Developing Day, and now it's been announced that Walgreens is a print provider for Picasa!
That's right, print directly from your Picasa albums to Walgreens — which was already my preferred photo printer because you can pick them up from a store right after you order them online, no shipping costs or waiting incurred.
And don't forget to adjust your settings in Content Control to allow visitors to order prints of your photos, so your family can feel the Walgreens love, too!

But benefiting from her hair expertise is about to get a lot more affordable. Sally (shown here with Joan Jett) is launching Supreme Head, a collection of shampoos, conditioners, and styling products.

A new hand gel is starting to appear on drugstore shelves promising to satisfy users' tobacco cravings for up to four hours.
Walgreens is now stocking its more than 5,500 stores with packets of Nicogel ($5.99 for a box of 10 doses) which is a quick-evaporating gel made with tobacco extracts. Each serving of Nicogel contains about a tenth of the tobacco you'll find in a typical cigarette.

If you watch as much TV as I do, you've probably already been baffled by this Celine Dion commercial, but if you haven't, you simply must take a look. In the commercial—for Walgreens, of all places—a family is awakened in the middle of the night by Celine Dion, who has sneaked into their home and is lounging seductively on their living room floor, singing. The family doesn't seem to mind too much, but they're not exactly pleased.

I have a hard time going into Walgreens without picking up some sort of lip thing or other, and my initial purchase of Palmer's lip butter ($2) was no exception. I've always loved Palmer's cocoa butter — my dear mama swears by the stuff, and even sometimes sends me care packages with sticks of it — but I've only used it as a hair and elbow/knee moisturizer.
I assumed anything made with cocoa butter would be creamy and need a little heat to deliquesce, so I was pleasantly surprised by the lip butter's moist, gel texture (I think the result of added vitamin E).
