The trendy and hip sunglasses company Ray-Ban is attempting to make the sunglasses shopping experience a bit easier with their new Ray-Ban Virtual Mirror download. Using 3D technology, this cool tool is similar to the IBM Virtual Mirror since it allows you to try on the goods without needing to be in the store. Now there's no guarantee how accurate this new service is, but at least it will let you know if those black Audrey Hepburn glasses are going to look chic or just cover half your face.

Next week, IBM will be introducing their first ever "Virtual Mirror" kiosk at the National Retail Federation in NYC. What it does is take a digital photo (of the shopper) and scan in various makeup and hair coloring products that they may be interested in purchasing. Without having to actually try the makeup on you are guaranteed true colors and an accurate replica of your face.

First we discussed the virtual change room, then there was the virtual make-up simulator and now at the Adidas store in Paris, there are virtual shopping mirrors. Created for those shoppers that are, shall we say, lazy, these mirrors let you virtually try on shoes and see what they look like. You might not know if they are the perfect fit, but at least you get to try on hundreds of pairs!

Thanks to Rachel Bilson and other Wayfarer-loving celebs, Ray-Ban is experiencing a major resurrection. To keep the momentum flowing, the brand has (finally) decided to launch its first ever online store. "The online store is a natural extension, a logical step for the brand, providing the loyal customer with limited access to the brand," said Pierre Fay of Ray-Ban.

If you're going to watch HBO's Grey Gardens, look forward to seeing a bevy of beautiful (and kooky) costumes worn by Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange. For those of you who don't know, Grey Gardens follows the eccentric, isolated, and crazy lives of of "Big Edie" and "Little Edie" Bouvier Beale, aunt and first cousin to Jackie Onassis, played by Lange and Barrymore.
As for the costumes, they'll be dazzling since they mirror the Beales' unique sense of style.

A good friend of mine likes to say that her husband lives in the future. That's because he's a technology geek who always has the latest gadgets. I bet he'd enjoy shopping a lot more if he got to play around with EZface, an in-store "virtual mirror" that shows you what various hair colors and makeup shades will look like.

- Some people are pre-programmed for a heightened response to stress by conditions in the womb. Pregnant women under stress who eat a diet high in protein and low in carbohydrates have babies with higher cortisol levels. Later on, these levels increase in response to stress.
- The impact of stress on the heart and circulation system is becoming more clear.

A few weeks ago when I was visiting Los Angeles, I had the pleasure of getting a full-face makeover by makeup artist Leesa Dang at Senna Cosmetics in Beverly Hills. The studio is in a posh location and it's set up with lots of mirrors and chairs, so right from the start my expectations were set high. I had no doubts that I'd walk out looking like anything less than a glamorous and red carpet-ready Hollywood star.
