For a Sunday dose of vintage geek, I thought I'd share these pastel vintage-chic radios which I spotted on GeekAlerts. Unlike other radios which appear retro on the outside but are mp3 players on the inside, this radio is totally old school. With an AM/FM radio, top handle, a telescopic antenna and knobs for adjusting the volume and frequency, it doesn't get any more vintage geek-chic than this.

I stumbled across the Almost Vintage Miniature Radio series after about a week of obsessing over cool old school radios. At $25 they're a total steal and an unexpected throwback gift that will likely be a hit with gramps, pops or even your kid sister. The three devices below were modeled on tabletop Bakelite originals from the 40s and 50s, and has all the usual AM/FM radio features.

The other night I met up with some of my childhood friends at a cute club in the Mission in San Francisco. As we watched the slightly-less exciting third act (our friend spinned with the second act so we might have been a little biased) our conversation turned to the hilarious mix tapes we used to make one another when we were kids. While we didn't use anything like the AIWA Radio-Cassette Corder, which was made in 1976, we were definitely rocking similar technology - recording from CDs and other cassette tapes onto a cassette tape and sometimes, if we were feeling especially into it, recording personal jokes between songs.

Don't be fooled by this retro mini boombox wristlet by Loop Design. It may look like it's from the early eighties, but with working speakers, this case is tiny and mighty.
For only $14, you can use it as a cute pouch for your mp3 player or hook up your iPod to the speakers for a jam session!

Radio One DJ Fearne Cotton attended the One Big Weekend in Maidstone last week. She is often spotted in funky outfits but I couldn't resist sharing her t-shirt with you. The black slogan tee read 'Clean Up or Die' and is part of Katharine Hamnett's latest range of political t-shirts.

I am unapologetically behind the declaration that I consider myself a girly-girl. I don't always love pink gadgets, but I don't always hate them either. But I have a line.

We certainly expect something like the iPhone to have revolutionary touch capabilities, but what about a retro radio? Bush has just come out with this shiny black DAB digital radio with matching handle which features touch buttons instead of standard push buttons, giving it that perfect mix of vintage and modern tech.
The TR04DABBLK, which was displayed on engadget has ten DAB and FM preset stations and shows two line LCD scrolling text with a blue LED display.
