In less than a month, The Hills will return with some new faces, lots of drama, and I'm sure some new tech toys. We already know that the ladies regularly switch their cell phone handsets, but what about their laptops and computers? Here's what they've used in previous seasons, but I wonder if there will be many upgrades in Season six?

Just a couple weeks after announcing its affordable VAIO NW-series notebook, Sony has taken the wraps off of a new laptop, and this time, it's mini. The new VAIO W-series notebook has a 10.1-inch ultrawide display, 160GB hard drive, a built-in webcam, multimedia-streaming technology, and comes in pink, brown, and white. The VAIO W will be available next month, but you can preorder it now — and the price tag ain't too shabby either at about $500.

Here's one way to draw attention to a product. Take a group of hired models and dancers, arm them with Sony's clutch-sized Vaios — like the P Series Lifestyle PC — dress them in the clothes of emerging designers, parade them all around Manhattan, and what do you get? A brilliant marketing campaign by Sony.

Tight squeeze, eh Sony? Some new promo pics of the new VAIO P Series Lifestyle PC have enraged some Japanese bloggers who are ashamed by the ad's unrealistic size portrayal.
Considering it is the world's lightest 8-inch notebook, it's not totally outlandish to assume it might be able to fit in the pocket of a pair of jeans.
