If you tend to like games that are more belt-your-heart-out than shoot-'em-up, then you need a good Karaoke game for parties (and those nights alone when you've just got to sing and do jazz hands until you pass out). Check out my favorite leading Karaoke games for the big 3 of next-generation video game consoles.

So I can say this now, but I was really, really nervous that Beatles: Rock Band was not going to do my favorite band of all-time justice. Then I saw the trailer and was bolstered with hope. And then of course, I experienced it at E3 and all my potential disappointment wasted away.

I got a "behind closed doors" demo of Beatles Rock Band at E3 last week, and needless to say, this installment of the music megaforce will be at the top of my must have list all Summer. Coming with 45 songs to choose from (either stocked, or as downloads) you have a serious collection of playable music from the best band, like ever.
I can't tell you how excited I've been for this to be released (well, maybe you could tell?), but now that I've seen it live and in person, my flame has been stoked.

Finally! More Beatles: Rock Band juiciness was revealed yesterday when Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr took the stage at E3. A partial song list was revealed, but what's more exciting is the brand spankin' new trailer below!

There are still a couple more months before the Beatles come to Rock Band, and it's exhilarating not only because HELLO IT'S THE BEATLES (huge fangirl over here), but also because the legendary quartet's music has not always been friendly with modern tech — namely, the major dramz between the Beatles and iTunes. Will the Rock Band game finally open the door for the Beatles' music to be widely available digitally? Who knows, but in the meantime, take a look at the long and winding (tech) road we've been on with them so far.

It goes without saying that I'm a big fan of Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Lips, anything that has me and my friends rocking out together. And since it seems that no one is immune from the karaoke bug, Harmonix is taking its cue from previous Lego branded video games and will be bringing us Lego Rock Band for your musical pleasure this Winter.
I loved Lego Indiana Jones on my DS, so it's gonna be pretty freakin' hilarious to see the little Lego guys shredding to tunes like "Song 2," "Kung Foo Fighting," "The Final Countdown," and Pink's "So What," which have all been confirmed as launch title songs.

There's been so much teasing when it comes to the Beatles and the tech world. The unresolved issue of the band not being available on iTunes has always bummed me out, but I'm bummed no longer: The Beatles are coming to Rock Band!
There's a teaser page up now with the date of September 9, 2009, being touted as the release.

You'd never guess it, but I love a good head-banging song; you know, something like "Back in Black" by AC/DC would definitely do the trick. Well this November, I'll really get to rock out since the AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack video game will be hitting store shelves. The game is playable with any compatible music instrument controller, and players who have Rock Band can import their tracks into this game.

I'm not overly familiar with this female duo, but popular to to the tween generations, teen pop band Aly and AJ, will be coming out with their own guitars for games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band for the Wii and PS2 in a few weeks. Each guitar will cost a cool $70, and fans will be able to choose from Aly's Guitar, which will feature a heart and cross bone print in a pink and brown color, or AJ's pink Guitar that features a purple zebra print and is in the shape of a heart. Performance Designed Products, the makers of the guitars, will create one of the guitars specifically for tweens, ages 8 to 12 while the other will be targeted for teens and older.

I have many fond memories of rocking out hard core with my pals with Guitar Hero until dawn. Since it was the first of its kind, it will always have a place in my game loving heart. But things change, and so do my obsessions.
