After the success of the Zi6 pocket recorder, Kodak has decided to improve their line-up of camcorders by introducing the Zi8, which can easily be compared to Pure Digital's latest — the Flip Ultra HD. Available in red, black, and blue for only $180, the Zi8 offers 1080p recording, a 2.5-inch LCD display, a SD card slot, Facebook functionality, and can capture 5-megapixel stills. Kodak even announced that it'll be able to capture video in low-lighting conditions, something the Flip hasn't been able to do.

Apparently, the latest round of calls is in the form of recorded messages urging people to call a particular number (but doesn't give a company name) to lower their credit card interest rates.

The BlackBerry Tour (9630) — not to be confused with the Onyx which celebs are toting around — made a very silent launch on two major US carriers today. Unlike the Pre, which is exclusive to Sprint, the BlackBerry Tour has been announced on both Verizon and Sprint networks. The Tour will be coming to Sprint by the end of the Summer and will cost $199.99 on a two-year contract (after a $50 rebate and a $100 mail-in rebate .

Nintendo is really trying to get us in shape for Summer! Set to make its official debut on May 26 here in the US, Personal Trainer: Walking works by sending data between a wireless activity pedometer (which you can place anywhere — even inside a bag!) and the infrared game card in your Nintendo DS or DSi to track your walking progress.
Your DS will record your daily step count, minute by minute, so you can always go back and see your activity level.

An excellent credit score will get you the best interest rates, so you want to ensure lenders will see your score at its very best. You already know that it's a bad idea to apply for new credit in the months leading up to applying for a loan, but CNN Money has another tip regarding the credit cards you already own.
To play it safe, they recommend keeping your cards under wraps during the month before you know you'll be applying for a loan and explain that, "Even if you pay off your balances at the end of the month, there's a chance a lender might pull your score the day before those payments are recorded, making it look as though you're tapping your credit."

The good news about the US launch of the Nintendo DSi is that it's going to cost you $10 less than previously thought, at $170. The bad news is, you're still going to have to wait till April 5 to get your hands on one! Although I'm in love with my DS, I'm saving up as we speak for Nintendo's newest handheld device.
