I know many people have been eying the PS3 since its launch but haven't gone for it, because for all its greatness — it's a Blu-ray player, a gaming console, a media center (and hopefully will come with Netflix support soon) — it carries a hefty price tag (the 160 GB version goes for $500, and the 80 goes for $400).
But that could all change this Summer when a long-awaited price cut will slash $100 off the system, if industry insiders are correct.
Sources say the cut will come mid-August timed with the release of Madden, and I don't think it could come at a better time.

The first time I popped open my copy of Skate 2, I knew I was in for a different kind of skating game. Not only are you able to get a crash course in boarding trickery at the local skate park, but you can also roam free around the city of New San Vanelona — jumping curbs, popping ollies, accepting challenges and running from the police Burnout Paradise style. I later found that Skate 2 kept me entertained, but at times it would make me oh-so-frustrated.

One of my favorite activities in the Summer is heading-out to catch a baseball game! Although I may not know the ins and outs of the game, I go for the fun of it (and for a hot dog or two). But now, fans have even more reasons to head to the ball park this season: Sony recently announced that they have sealed a deal with the Yankees to pimp out their stadium with over 550 Bravia flat panel TVs, along with tons of Playstation 3s and Vaio computers to play with in select locations around the stadium.

What if you bought a refurbished gadget, only to be suspected of theft? And, then to add insult to injury were cleared but had the gadget replaced with a rival product?
That's what happened to a man in North Carolina, Dustin Waller, who bought a refurbished Playstation 3, which had been reported stolen, unbeknownst to him.

I was looking forward to seeing WipEout HD at this year's E3 Summit (since I have had this futuristic racer on my wish list for months), and was kinda bummed when it wasn't shown during Sony's panel discussions. We were told it's because the sleek game was being "packed with extra features," and while that may be true, what might be more true is that the title is failing epileptic seizure tests left, right and center!
The game, which is packed with flashy neon lights and fast moving tracks, has had troubles making it past "go" with testers saying that Wipeout HD "fails the epilepsy tests so much that it has to be re-engineered."
