I love the modern take on nature in this new Pebbles Pillow ($68) and Pebbles Rug ($348 to $698) from the uber-contemporary Chiasso catalog. (Thanks to my buddy Design Milk for the tip.)
The area rug — which is available in 4-by-6, 5-by-8, and 8-by-10 versions — recalls the serenity of a babbling brook, but it would look perfectly at home in a sleek, minimalist room.

This weekend marked the First Annual Pebble Beach Food & Wine event, and let me tell you, it was definitely a lavish affair. While the full shebang would have cost you $4,750 — including lodging for the four-day affair, as well as admission to all the events, including classes, seminars, parties and tastings — a single-day Grand Tasting Pass cost only $165. Pennies in comparison.

A few weeks ago I shared that Industrial Designer Branko Lukic is working to develop and license products that will be "treasured not because of their specifications, but because they make the owner happy to own it." The idea, which Branko details in his upcoming book "Nonobject," is about the "space between you and the object" and while it may seem esoteric to some, points to an exciting, interactive and deeply personal trend in technology. This week, a preview of Lukic's book hit the web and gadget lovers have been fawning over his ideas.

One of the wines I tried while at the Pebble Beach Food & Wine Festival, was Australian based Molly Dooker. The name, which is Aussie for Left Hander, is much like the wine — it's fun, and doesn't take itself too seriously.
I ended up trying their 2006 Shiraz, The Boxer, and was rather impressed.

This weekend, do something nice for your husband (and your body) and go see a golf tournament.
Recently my husband has convinced me to go see a few golf tournaments with him. At first I was reluctant because I anticipated that I would be sedentary and bored.

As if we didn't already know this... a new study out reveals that all of the commercials that bombard wee ones during Saturday morning cartoons are marketing the least healthy food options for youngsters. In between Imagination Movers and Dora the Explorer, tiny viewers are likely to see an advertisement for Lucky Charms, Coco Puffs, and loads of other sugar loaded cereals.

New from Kenzo is a collection of four different Ryokos. These pocket-sized pebbles each house one of their best selling fragrances: FlowerbyKenzo, SummerbyKenzo, L'eau Par Kenzo Pour Femme (for women) and L'eau Par Kenzo Pour Homme (for men). Designer Karim Rashid and Kenzo Creative Director Patrick Guedj wanted to join art, design and pop culture, and the packaging does the trick.

Jessica Biel came out to support her man as Justin Timberlake played another round of golf at Pebble Beach on Friday. He may have been focused on the tournament for the past week, but he's also getting props for fashion sense, topping off GQ's 10 Most Stylish Men in America list. Justin's been sharing his style as a designer with his William Rast line, and he's about to make another big move in the fashion world.
