Previously, if you had a Slingbox at home and the $30 app on your iPhone, you could only control and watch your shows over a WiFi connection. But earlier today, AT&T approved the Sling app to operate over its 3G network, meaning you can watch your favorite shows, control your Slingbox, and set recordings from virtually anywhere. This is a great addition, especially since the idea of streaming broadcast TV over your mobile device is becoming more widely accepted, AT&T and Sling can stay on top of the trend in their own way.

I don't know that this app will ever make it onto my list of must-have camera apps for the iPhone, but it is good for some easy entertainment. The Lego Photo app turns any photo on your iPhone into Legos. While some photos are a little tough to see, tapping the Lego-ized version of any photo will change its Lego color scheme.

I don't know if you guys use AP Mobile, but I find its breaking news alerts to come in handy when I need to stay on top of developing stories. You could say the same for Southwest Airlines' new app, which will keep you travel gurus informed on what the airline has to offer.
Available on your iPhone or iPod Touch, the app allows you to book, confirm, and check-in for flights, while its new "Ding!"

But Priceline's free updated travel app is offering up a cool feature that totally makes me feel like a super-saver spy.

After the first round of camera head-to-head, I couldn't decide if I preferred my iPhone or his Droid, although the Droid's camera is technically superior. We decided to put our respective cameras to the test for a second round of battle royale during a dinner out. Side note: I know I said previously that phones at the table is a no-no, but this was in the name of research!
