While walking home from work the other night, I noticed an unexpected sign in the window of my favorite Walgreens, reminding the customers that yes, they still develop rolls of film. I can't recall the last time I had a roll of film developed, but someone must be asking Walgreens staffers about it if they felt the need to put up a notice. Of course, maybe it has something to do with the fact that most of us have gone digital and customers are occasionally bringing in disks, but not rolls.

Even though I look forward to the megapixel number for digital cameras and cell phone cameras increasing, don't think I'm not a wistful, sometimes very old-fashioned person. I miss the look of film sometimes — its richness and romance that digital, with its sharp edges and modern beauty, lacks. That's why I've been thinking about getting a film camera lately.

I once asked you if you would jump on board if Polaroid were revived — an overwhelming amount of you said yes. Well hold on to your hats, photo geeks, cause it's on its way! At a press conference today in Hong Kong, Polaroid announced that they will be re-launching the One Step camera and allowing The Impossible Project (a group of former Polaroid employees who have been working to revive the medium and who also released the last of the instant film to Urban Outfitters earlier this year) to produce a limited amount of instant black and white and color film in 2010.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner may be dominating the promotional circuit right now, but they're not the only cast members with something to say about New Moon. I had the opportunity to chat with costars Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene, aka Emmett and Alice Cullen, during their recent stopover in SF. They chatted about their characters, the vampire craze, and what it's like to be a "Twilight celebrity."

Shia LaBeouf and Carey Mulligan shared a private moment between scenes while filming Money Never Sleeps in NYC yesterday. The pair usually save their PDA for strolls around the city, but Shia couldn't resist planting a kiss on Carey's nose when the cameras weren't rolling. The duo has been inseparable while on set, but Carey was on her own in LA on Saturday night when she hit the red carpet at MOCA's star-studded 30th anniversary bash.

Yes, another novelty camera — they're everywhere! The affordable Undercover Camera ($35) is cleverly disguised as a Russian storybook, and even comes inside a black cardboard sleeve.
To use the camera, pop in some 110 film, slide up the spine, and snap away.

The leading ladies of The Private Lives of Pippa Lee hit the red carpet in NYC on Saturday evening. Blake Lively didn't address rumors she's going into business with Victoria Beckham as she smiled for the cameras, while her boyfriend Penn Badgley mingled with fellow Gossip Girl actor Chace Crawford behind the scenes. Robin Wright Penn, meanwhile, showed off her new dark hairdo as she posed alongside Julianne Moore and Keanu Reeves.

The big LA premiere of New Moon is this evening, and the film's stars all gathered there over the weekend to prep for the red carpet. As Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart made their way back from their final press duties in Europe, Dakota Fanning and Ashley Greene were in California laying relatively low. Ashley joined a few friends for dinner at Beso on Saturday night, as her former mall tour buddy Kellan Lutz wrapped things up with Bronson Pelletier.

Slim is the hot new product descriptor, it seems. The Slim Devil Camera ($30) from Fred Flare is a lightweight 35 mm film camera for your camera collection.
Even though it's called "slim devil," it's got a "super fat" (i.e.
