Juggling our everyday lives with wedding planning can be quite a struggle, but you can enjoy the planning process more when you're organized. It's overwhelming when you're not sure what's next on the to-do list, so I've created a general time line for brides out there who need the reminders or reassurance they're already on track — you can download the wedding planning checklist here.
After you've nailed down your wedding budget, get cracking on the rest of the checklist and don't forget to have fun.

Do you know how much you spend per month on food and beverages (I'm looking at you, 7-11 trips and work lunches) and personal care (can we say money-sucking drug store trips)? The new year is all about taking control, and most of you intend on saving more money or paying down debt in 2009. In order to find extra money in your budget to achieve your goals, you need to figure out where your spending can be trimmed.

The majority of SavvySugar readers didn't make resolutions in 2008, but those who did reported they made progress. In the spirit of getting organized, we've crafted a handy Resolution Worksheet for you to keep track of all your financial goals for the new year and help you keep them.
Some of the goals like retirement savings are totally universal, while some of you may have specific career goals that you can jot down in the free space.

Sock monsters are one of my favorite on-the-fly entertainment tricks and a cost-free way to creatively reinvent solo socks. If the simple Sharpie-drawn monster is beneath your crafty standards, try Monster Munch's free downloadable pattern and instructions. It's a quick eight-step process that involves two socks, two buttons, a bit of felt, and some stuffing.

There's something magical about sitting down with your children during weekend arts and crafts time. It's the perfect opportunity for stories, creativity and inevitably, a whole lot of mess.
These adorable paper houses and store fronts will help you deliver the same soothing creative time without any of the paint or pencil marks.

I know my geeks are a literate lot, so I've dug up a new, free application for Macs to keep your analog books organized electronically. Where GoodReads is a great way to keep track of all books you've read, the download Books is your electronic library for all the books you own.
All you have to do is enter titles of the books you own, and Books will quickfill all the details of that book, including the cover art (once you've selected a quickfill metric in preferences).

While the first debate is looming on our calendars in pencil or pen depending, it's not the only event left this campaign.
From now until the Inauguration on January 20, we've put together a handy, printable list of dates so you'll know exactly when to clear your calendar and come chat with us during the debates, or check back to get the updates.

As much as we debate the legality/illegality of downloading certain things on the Internet, I don't think any of us has ever feared for our lives because of our Internet download activity.
Unfortunately, not everyone is as lucky as we are; a 23-year-old student in Afghanistan is currently sitting on death row because he downloaded an article on women's roles in Islam on the Internet. Seen as blasphemy, the young man now faces death.

I have this thing where I can't always watch videos on the Internet when they come my way — and not because I'm not allowed to at work, but because I don't feel like I can take the time to focus on just one video. Turns out "my thing" isn't so weird, because some kind soul made YouPlayer, a Firefox extension that lets you watch videos in your sidebar!
Once installed, all you have to do is drag and drop the URL or your search results for the video into the player.
