I just spotted this shelf over on CrunchGear, and I must admit, I love it. The UBoard USB board and shelf ($50) features a glass top and three USB ports on its side. There's even a cup holder that attaches to the side!

After showing you the BackPack for iMacs to keep your hard drive up and away from your desk, and now after discovering this gizmo, which keeps your MacBook standing up, your workspace is going to be so pristine and clutter free! The BookArc ($50) shown here is great for those who use an external screen with their Macs but want to free up some desk space. To make sure you get the best fit for your laptop, the BookArc comes in three different sizes and includes scratch-free, silicone cushions on the bottom part so you don't have to worry about scratching your lovely wooden desk.

OK, so I know aesthetics aren't everything, but even though I bought myself a nice-looking external hard drive to back up all my data, sometimes I just want to find a safe place to keep it out of the way and off my clean desk. If this sounds familiar to you, and you have an iMac or a cinema display, listen up: the BackPack is here to save you.
The BackPack attaches to the backside of your iMac's stand, and is height adjustable, so you can secure two or maybe even three shelves on the back of your machine.

It doesn't take much to make your home workstation a little more body friendly. So before you head back to school this Fall, add a few ergonomic touches to your home office. I have professed my love for the Ikea Dave Laptop stand many times before, so if you must work in front of the tube (like yours truly), put it on a stand and not on your lap!

If all of your desktop cords refuse to magically become invisible as you secretly wish they would, then you can at least put them in their place with these cable holders from Bluelounge. The adhesive Cabledrop organizers ($10) are just the thing to keep your power, Ethernet, firewire, and usb cords all in one place — and not fall behind your desk — while you stay mobile on your laptop, or keep your desk neat while you work on your trusty desktop.
Coming in a pack of six, the CableDrops aren't just limited to your peripherals — you can use them to wrangle your electric cords, pens, and even secure your headphones to your monitor so you don't lose them to the depths of your desk drawer.

It doesn't take me long to get ready in the morning, but I can totally see the appeal of working from home — roll out of bed, make your coffee, and fire up the laptop to get your day started. And although the idea of telecommuting has been around since the 80's (I know, like forever), the current state of affairs is making working from home more attractive to businesses and employees alike. Not only does it cut down on operation costs, but telecommuting has been proven to raise morale.

Can you hear me now? It's rare that I come across something that has me tossing all reasoning out the window, and immediately reaching for my credit card. When I first saw this pair of six-watt Speak-er speech bubble speakers ($120), I knew I had to have them.

If someone you know is a slave to her cube, then you can't go wrong with giving an awesome office or desk-centric gift this holiday. But let's be honest, no one wants the main gift to sit on a desk at work, so make it a stocking stuffer instead. Yes, stocking stuffer.

If your office building is old (like mine), and you are nowhere near those old-school radiator heaters that line the walls (like me), and the windows are not exactly "double-paned" to keep the heat in (you know it), there's a good chance you will be f-f-f-freezing come Winter. So what can you do, other than huddle by the heat of your desktop? Get some USB Heated Gloves, that's what.

These days I tend to just look for a desk lamp that can do what it's supposed to do: light up. Even when it has a nice second feature, like this lamp/iPod dock, I just want a utilitarian lamp.
But I could totally ignore all that for this USB Desk Lamp by Japanese Design firm Conof, which provides light and spare USB ports?
