Even though I haven't converted to using the Chrome browser (where's my Mac support?), I'm fascinated by Chrome Experiments, a place for its engineers to play around with JavaScript. In this video, they've created "Google Gravity," which reminds me a lot of their Japanese ad for Chrome that I also loved. Check it out.

This promo video for using Google Chrome will make you smile, if in fact you smile at things that are truly adorable and charming (but without being too twee; this is a strong new browser from Google, after all). Whether it will make you want to abandon your current browser or not, I don't know.

Dilemma! What's a Google-devoted but equally Firefox-loving geek to do? When Google broke the news over the holiday weekend that they were releasing a new browser called Chrome, I was excited, but also a little guilty-feeling since I use and adore Firefox.

Leave it to Rihanna, the queen bee of nail polish, to take an opaque, shimmery metallic color to the next level. Chrome is more of a powerful gold-and-silver version of its true silver sister gunmetal and it is also much darker than pale gray.
I still can't quite believe that metallic nails are still this much of a sensation.

Desire to Inspire recently wrote about her experience restoring a '70s chrome chair and shared her trick for removing tarnish from chrome — vinegar and aluminum foil! Moisten, but don't saturate, aluminum foil with some full-strength white vinegar, and rub the chrome with lots of elbow grease! A lot of scrubbing will do the trick, and then wipe off the black gunk with a soft cloth afterwards.

Check out cutie pie Chester (along with Jenna Jameson) on their special visit to the Chrome Bones boutique in the Beverly Center. Stocking beds, bowls, collars, carriers, and lots of high-end puppy gear, it looks like Jenna's already a fan with her Chrome Bones carrier on hand. If you're in the market for a designer bag you won't see on every arm in town, the newest version of that super-luxe gold leather carrier she sports will run you $1,170.

If my tutorial sideshow about what Lomo cameras are all about gave you a sudden interest in the retro cameras, now is a good time to get in on the action — Urban Outfitters has two new Lomos in shiny, shiny chrome.
The Diana F+ Camera Chrome Edition one-ups the original black and turquoise Diana and comes in at $90 with a matching flash.
Meanwhile, the Lomography Fisheye 2 Chrome Edition, on the right ($110), is plastic like the chrome Diana, but its rendering makes it look metal, doesn't it?

Cruising through the portfolio of French photographer Pierre-Jean Verger, I stopped dead in my tracks at the sight of this living room. Stunning architectural details (mantel, moldings) such as these are a perk of many French homes and add instant elegance. But sometimes these features will make a room look more formal than it's meant to be.

Su Casa member Minka has made some updates her living room, and I am thoroughly impressed! Here's what she said about the changes:
I rearranged the pictures on my wall salon-style, so there's room for more. Lots of my friends are photographers, so I'm always snagging work from them.

The Clocky alarm clock we all love and yet love to hate is back in a shiny new chrome design that is sure to scare the bejeezus out of anyone when it goes off in the morning.
This fun clock by Nanda costs $65, although you can still pick up an older style in red, white, coco, or aqua for $50. It's seriously the perfect gift for those who can't seem to get out of bed since they'll have to get up just to make Clocky stop from rolling around!
