I love the idea of sitting down and writing a long letter with a fancy ballpoint pen, putting it in an envelope, and sending it off to its recipient. But the reality is, I type a heck of a lot faster than I can write (and by write, I mean making it lovely and legible), so I prefer to email because it's faster, easier, and I don't have to deal with white-out when I make mistakes.
If you want to write and mail off a note to someone, but you enjoy the simplicity of typing on a computer and clicking send without having to get out the stamps and envelopes, a website called SnailMailr makes it easy to send snail mail online.

Next month, Urban Decay is launching Pocket Rocket lip gloss, which aims to be a super-sexy way to show off your lips. The packaging is reminiscent of those kitschy ball-point pens from the '60s — you'd tip them, and a lady's clothes would magically disappear. This time, though, it's men who are being objectified, as eight dudes' outfits seem to slide off when the lip gloss is moved around.

I don't know about you, but I'm a staunch believer in sale shopping. For the most part, I rarely buy things that are not on sale, partly because I know that great deals and steals abound (and where to find them), and partly because I'm aware of the high mark-ups retailers put on their products. But sometimes, I come down with a fever of spontaneous splurges .

I love this idea from Martha Stewart for making a floral display out of your votives. Rather than simply using your votives as lighting, you can use them as tabletop decorations by tying the stem of your favorite flower to each votive with a bit of raffia, some ribbon, or even a rubber band.
By placing the votive holder on top of a small, water-filled saucer, you'll keep the flowers fresh as long your party lasts.
