I know I've talked about other great downloads for baby-proofing your computers, but I have to say this one definitely stands out from the rest. Baby Shield is a Mac application that protects your laptop, programs and files while it is running and while your curious and inquisitive baby decides to use your keyboard as a drum set.
And not only does Baby Shield safeguard important documents, but it displays images and music whenever the keyboard is pressed by your baby - love that!

Elmo, Dora, Mickey and Pooh – the characters that appear on our boob tubes are often found running around the playground too. Try as we might to shield our innocent children from the images available on cable television, network TV commercials and online media, just take a walk outside and you are sure to be bombarded by characters and logos that look like they jumped right off the screen.
According to the Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood, marketing directly to children has increased from $100 million in 1983 to more than $17 billion today.

In the movie Motherhood, which opens today, Uma Thurman plays a multitasking stay-at-home mom trying to raise two kiddos and keep up her passion for writing. She blogs in 10-minute increments at her desk while baby plays, at the playground, and even in the stairwell of her building.
