Would-be developers, take note: Apple has banned the use of the word "android" in the app store. According to a report, a developer used the word in his app's description and it was rejected from the store. If he drops the word from the description, the app will presumably be allowed in.

We went headfirst into the Yerba Buena center this morning to catch the first look at the Apple iPad. There was a lot to cover (and still more to come — like my first impressions after playing with it!), and although the iPad itself doesn't come with a camera, I had a few of my own on hand to catch all the action. Take a look back at the Apple presentation.

Whether you like it or not, fact is that the iPad is a hot ticket right now — even Pee-wee Herman is in on the tablet action! Funny or Die released this hilarious video of what life would be like in the playhouse if Pee-wee brought home an iPad. A video that subsequently reminded me of how geeky the show really was way back then.

After the announcement of the iPad, I was a little surprised that it won't be shipping for 60 days. After taking a closer look at the bottom of the iPad's page on the Apple site, I noticed this fine print:
"This device has not yet been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission. This device is not, and may not be, offered for sale or lease, or sold or leased, until authorization is obtained."
