One of the most exciting parts of yesterday's new iPod announcement was the introduction of a completely redesigned iPod Nano ($149). Gone is the traditional Apple click wheel — the iPod Nano now features a large multitouch screen to organize and play your favorite music.
I was impressed and to prove it, here are five reasons it's worth preordering a new iPod Nano:
- It's smaller, lighter, and more portable than any other Nano.

Apple introduced its new Apple TV yesterday, and although this new device won't be a suitable replacement for your cable subscription, it does offer an easy way to rent new flicks and popular TV shows. I got some hands-on time with the little powerhouse after the press event yesterday, and came up with five solid reasons you'll want to get an Apple TV for yourself, and three reasons you may want to skip it. It's tradition to have a performance by a popular artist at the end of the Fall Apple event, and although we made our guesses, we were not disappointed about who actually made the appearance. Not only was The Woz in attendance of today's presentation, but Chris Martin also hit the stage with a piano to perform some tunes. We were treated to one of my fave Coldplay songs, "Yellow," and Chris gave some major props to Apple for pushing Viva la Vida into the stratosphere.

Today, Apple announced iTunes 10, one of the biggest overhauls of the service so far. iTunes 10 will not only come with a new logo, but will also be stocked with a cool new feature called Hybrid View, which shows album artwork within your music lists. The rumored social network integration is a rumor no more, as Ping, a social network for music, was unveiled as well.

During today's Apple event, Steve Jobs announced all new designs for every iPod — the biggest design overhaul in iPod history.
iPod Shuffle
The latest Shuffle is a combination of all of the best features from the previous three models; while the last version of the Shuffle was missing buttons, the newest version brings back the familiar controls from the second-generation shuffle, but in a smaller, more compact design. The newest Shuffle also features all of the loved features from the most recent generation: voice over that tells you what you're listening to and when the battery needs to be charged, and playlists (including the introduction of Genius Playlists) that sort your music for easy listening on the go.

Steve Jobs began today's Apple presentation by introducing the new features in iOS 4.1. This update comes with lots of new bug fixes but also allows HD video to be uploaded over WiFi, TV show rentals, a new game center, and HDR photos (high dynamic range), which bring your photos to life.
