I instantly became addicted to the website Postcard FM because I could upload any one of my pictures, add a fun song to it (my mp3 choice, naturally), and then add a personalized message. Being able to custom design an e-card is magical I tell ya!

So when I discovered Vox Cards, I knew it was another great site that would provide me with endless personalization options! With Vox Cards you can choose a card, add some text, record a greeting and then add your own personal greeting (by voice that is)! You don't even need a microphone, because with Vox Cards you just call the provided number, follow the instructions, and leave your message! How easy peasey is that?!

I can't decide if SideTaker is cruel and petty or brilliant and practical, but I'll give it this: It's freaking entertaining.

On SideTaker, couples come in and write their two sides of a fight and why they think they're right.

In place of a good old standoff at home or a session on the couch at couples' therapy, the anonymous users of SideTaker vote for who's right and leave comments supporting the side they're on.

I don't think I could air my fights on a website, but for those of you who do, keep truckin'. I love hearing stories like how his refusal to flush the toilet to save money is tearing them apart.

Usually I say "Holy Hanna" when I'm impressed with something, but I just can't help but say "Holy Hazel" in the case of this fantastic website — Hazel Mail. Standard e-cards are pretty generic, while Someecards can be clever but too snarky — and neither of them is what you really want to send to people: personal. WEBook wants to change that; calling themselves a "next-generation" publisher, WEBook is kind of like a social network — but when you're done, instead of quiz results put on your Facebook page or a wall full of "What have you been up tos," you have a book.

Because I take care of so many things online — like banking, shopping, booking flights and hotels, etc., — I usually run into problems whenever I try to find contact information since it's often hiding on the website somewhere. Although DialAHuman puts me in touch with an actual living human being, which is great, I never seem to call at a time that the "office is open." Thankfully I found Contact Help, a website that is easy to use, provides contact information in a variety of categories like media, shopping, Internet, and financial services, and includes important info like hours of operation!

Even though all those photo-hosting sites make it really easy for me to upload and share my photos with friends and family, it really doesn't help me stave off complaints from my grandparents. Since they still subscribe to the old-school photo album ways of the past (which is totally appropriate — they are in their 80s!), I can't help but feel guilty that they can't hop online and check out the pics from my latest cross-country adventure.

So instead of printing out photo after photo (and wasting money on photo paper, ink, or printing fees), why not take the best of your photos and make them into a glossy, hardbound, and professional-looking photo book? Mac users can always use iPhoto's quick and easy printing service, but for the rest of us there's Inkubook.

Thanks to the Internet, you no longer have to have an in to get custom-designed anything — not when you have sites like Zazzle!

Zazzle lets you custom design just about anything (they go way beyond the basic T-shirt) — I'm especially intrigued by the US postage stamps, neckties, and sculptures. My boyfriend is already hard at work on designing a new skateboard deck. It's as easy as uploading a design and picking colors.

Not that great of a designer? Inflate someone's ego and buy something from the thousands of products designed by members of the Zazzle community. And yes, that means you could also make money by selling your designs on Zazzle!

I have admittedly shallow dreams of one day having a personal assistant: Someone to make my plans and reservations then invite people to said plans and reservations. I wouldn't have to think about logistics, I'd just worry about getting to the event and having a great time!

HeyCosmo is the closest thing I've found to a PA — only it's online and nonhuman (so you don't have to pay anyone's salary).

HeyCosmo's Concierge does it all — they can look for a restaurant in your area with whatever specifics you need — number of people, location, time, special requests. Just enter these inquiries into HeyCosmo's website, they call with their automated service, and then HeyCosmo notifies you of which restaurant can accommodate you at what time. Of course, restaurant reservations are just the beginning; Concierge can basically make an inquiry to any business that you need it to.

Also, be sure to try HeyCosmo's Prankster, a text-to-speech service that will call your friends with your prank call!

Personal blogs are a tricky business; while they're great for blowing off steam or having a creative outlet, not everyone is comfortable sharing that much about themselves. But sometimes you want to be so personal, and if most of your life can be handled at your computer screen, why shouldn't you be able to record your deepest thoughts?

Diary is the answer - set up like a blog, with all the options to upload pictures, galleries, videos, and most importantly, your innermost thoughts - but it's all private, just for you. Of course, it wouldn't be Web 2.0 if you didn't have the option to make it public. Just be careful of the TMI factor.

I subscribe to the school of "there's no such thing as useless information," so my affection for the website Unnecessary Knowledge was instant. Did you know the “save” icon in Microsoft Office programs shows a floppy disk with the shutter on backwards? I didn't until I was sucked into the vortex of the site's top list.

Unnecessary Knowledge displays trivia and facts from random sources, which combine to make it a really fun timewaster website. Every time you visit (or refresh your browser), you are treated to a more random fact. You can upload your own knowledge (hence the random sources and varied topics) or just refresh the page to consume someone else's item. Most of the data falls in line with random facts and board-game must-knows.

I can't always be cool, calm, and collected. It inevitably follows that on those stressful days, I have to call my cable or phone company or something equally as undesirable.

And, of course, all I need to push me over the edge is to be "communicating" with a robot, telling me to push a button for this, a button for that, but no button to talk to a living, breathing human being.

But DialAHuman is like my Prozac now because it's a website with an extensive database of phone numbers and button combos that give you, yes, living breathing humans, so you can bypass that creepy fake voice telling you to press numbers for lord knows what.

There's often times when my friends send me a SMS with really important info and I end up deleting it when I go on my SMS-deleting binges. Usually it's an address, phone number, or name of a store or restaurant that I wish I would have saved or at least emailed to myself. For iPhone owners, there's this fantastic site called You Archive It that will store all your SMS messages online, and for free! Their database is safe, encrypted (so no one can read your juicy SMSs), and you can access all your messages whenever from wherever. . . no more losing important texts!

I come across a fair amount of travel websites on a regular basis — OK, more like I seek them out, because you know how much I love them! A co-worker mentioned this site to me the other day and I was overjoyed to actually take it for a test drive. What's great about Trazzler is the fact that it will provide you with wonderful trip recommendations based on a certain location. It's soo easy to use, the suggestions are fabulous and it's not cluttered with a ton of info. Once you find something you like, you can add it to a wishlist (which will categorize according to country) or share it with a friend! Oh, and it's free to sign-up!

I'm the queen of copying links, saving pics and text to access later. Now where I save all of these random goodies from the Internet is always a chore to find later - TextEdit, Google Docs, my desktop, delicious - you name it, I use it. So when I first discovered Evernote, a handy website that helps you save content from your computer or cell phone, I knew this could be my new BFF website. Evernote not only helps you easily capture memorable information, but you can easily organize it, tag it and search for it later, something I desperately need. There's even a new iPhone app so you can save stuff while on the go — and it will save audio as well (hello, to-do lists!).

Whenever I need to book a flight, my priority is usually getting the best price, so you can find me scanning websites like Kayak or Farecast. But what about comfort and quality? A new website called InsideTrip not only price compares flights, but ranks them in terms of speed, comfort, and ease, and then provides you with an overall trip quality ranking. You can even click on flight details to see rankings on specific things like routing quality, lost bags rank, legroom, connection time, etc. The founder, Dave Pelter, said he wanted to create a site that provides people with info to help them make the smartest travel decisions possible. It's really easy to use, and definitely gives a good idea about the overall experience of a particular flight/airline!

In an earth-shattering coincidence, I was looking through my old yearbooks with my friends this weekend, and what do I find today? Yearbook Yourself!

Yearbook Yourself is now probably my fave of the upload-a-photo-and-watch-the-magic-happen websites, especially since it had me in stitches to see myself as an '80s maven, a '70s hippie, and a '50s nerd. Infinitely less creepy than that Dark Knight promo!

My era-specific yearbook-ed pics are pretty goofy, but my '90s yearbook photos are not much better, if you want me to be real.

If there's a website with a game that can suck me in for more than five minutes, I know I've found a winner — and with youCharades, I had difficulty pulling myself away. youCharades is just like classic charades, only you can play alone, with your computer screen.

Of course, you're not really alone — dozens of users are constantly uploading new videos of a charades challenge for everyone else, and you can too!

Your level of involvement is up to you; guess what movie or book the users act out in their seconds-long videos, or get in there and act out your own challenges. Plus, you don't even have to use headphones since charades is silent, making it the ultimate convenient work time-waster!

We all spend so much time searching the net for various things, so why not use a search engine that actually donates money to your favorite charity while you search? With GoodSearch, all you have to do is enter your search terms and pick an NGO of your choice and they'll donate to that charity each time you do a search! Here's the 4-1-1: The site will donate $.01 to your charity for each search, 50 percent of their revenue goes to the NGOs listed on the site, and their primary search engine is Yahoo — which may take a bit of getting use to. But all in all, it's totally legit, and at least you're giving back while doing something you do on the net anyways! It doesn't matter how big or small your closet is, when you have Weardrobe — your online closet.

Weardrobe lets you upload photos of yourself, which you then tag (i.e., 'Zara trench coat'), and then the website organizes your articles of clothing — trust me, it's better than the Container Store.

You can then maintain the virtual inventory (instead of the actual mess) of your clothes for either deciding what to wear. Or if you're like me, seeing what you actually wear in photos, and using that as a guide for what you need to give to Goodwill or trade on Rehash.

I'm sorry, old shirts! I never meant to hurt you, I never meant to make you cry, but tonight, I'm cleaning out my closet.

Done and done is one of my favorite — and overused — lines. So when I came across Now Do This, a to-do list application website, I couldn't help but give it a whirl. So maybe you can't see your entire to-do list like with Remember the Milk or sticky notes on your iGoogle page, but it is plain and simple. Just go to the website, enter your tasks and to-do items in order of priority, hit save, and it'll show you the first one on your list. Click done when a task is completed and it'll move on to the next one, just like that. Done and done.

Isn't it great when a website can take your words or images, and miraculously transform them into an aesthetically pleasing piece of artwork? With Wordle, you can enter a list of words, and it will generate a "word cloud" which shows your words in a creative format. Have fun switching up your text with a new font, color scheme (you can even custom design your own), and layout. Once you get your words exactly the way you like them, you can save them to a gallery, print them or share with friends. Just make sure you copy your word list, since Wordle can freeze and you have to start over!

The new search engine Cuil (an old Irish word for knowledge), has been receiving quite the press across the "Internets" today. I didn't know what all the hype was about until I gave it a try. Cuil actually searches more pages on the web than anyone else (over 120 billion) — that's even three times as many as Google and 10 times as many as Microsoft. Rather than deriving search results from those that rank high, Cuil actually finds websites based on topics, content, and relevance by sorting web pages into groups and categories. This new way of searching helps you refine searches and get you to what you're looking for faster.
