Who knew that cutie patootie Paul Rudd's early career featured a painfully geeky gamer ad! This Super Nintendo advertisement from the early '90's was used to promote the popular entertainment system and old-school games like Zelda and Football. In this "action-packed" commercial, you see Rudd getting his game on in front of a JumboTron-like screen.

This morning at Nintendo's press conference at E3, Gizmodo followed all of the announcements on their liveblog, and I couldn't help but get excited about three in particular.
The first one is the new multiplayer Super Mario Bros. for the Wii, appropriately titled New Super Mario Bros.

If you've been wondering what's next for the Wii after conquering Super Mario Galaxy and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, then wonder no more. The E3 Summit kicked off this week, and the President of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, revealed yesterday at a press event that new titles for both Mario and Zelda are in the works.
Iwata admitted there is a dire need for quality games like Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii, which I have to totally agree with, since the sub-par mass of third party games and movie tie-ins are getting a bit old.

I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't love a set of Nintendo Mushroom Sours this holiday season.
They're the perfect gift for the hardcore fans that have Super Mario clocks on their desktops and Plumber costumes in their closets, but they're also sweet for those casual gamers that have a soft spot for those magic mushrooms.
The set includes three tins with red cherry, green apple and blue raspberry flavors.

I am not going to deny the fact that there are a lot of exciting tools on the iPhone, but I must admit, it's announcements like this that make me thank my lucky stars that I have a shiny and new iPhone. Brace yourselves: word on the net is that there is a new Nintendo Entertainment System emulator application on Google Code that comes with games like Super Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda. The emulator has a few glitches and requires several software hacks to work so use it at your own risk.

For some crazy reason I've been craving a good Super Mario Brothers 3 games session! I haven't played since I had to sell my NES to get my hands on a N64, so instead of just downloading the game onto my Wii's Virtual Console, I've been spending a bit more time than usual on eBay searching for an old system and copy of the game (what can I say, I'm nostalgic) to whisk me back to simpler times.
Since me and the plump plumber have had a long-standing relationship, I wanted to see how many of you heart the little Italian man and all the trouble he gets into.
