Iconic Geek Halloween Costume: The Princess Leia Gold Bikini

As one of the many who's over the Halloween-as-opportunity-to-dress-trashy trend, I'd never push an ultrarevealing Halloween costume. Unless, of course, it's revealing for authenticity's sake, as is the case with the Holy Grail of sexy geek outfits: the Princess Leia gold bikini.

This handmade costume from Etsy pulls out all the stops, including making the metal-look bikini "top" out of sculpted clay and wire. It's $295 for the whole thing, which is pretty crazy for a costume, but if you're wearing this, you're already pulling out all the stops.

Sure, it's a bit early to be talking about Halloween, but if it's one of your favorite holidays (like it is for me), it's never to early to plan a truly knock-'em-dead Halloween costume.

Hello Wars: Star Wars and Hello Kitty Mashed Up, Adorable

My geeksugar readers, I know some of you love Hello Kitty. And I know some of you love Star Wars. Do you love both?! If so, then meet Hello Wars, a series of stickers that puts Star Wars characters' faces on Hello Kitty faces and then renders them in sticker form!

A DS Stylus Fit For the My Favorite Gadgets Group

I'll admit it, I haven't shown that much love to the My Favorite Gadgets group lately, but trust me, it's not due to lack of options! Worthy of its own entry, I found this DS Stylus pack at E3, and couldn't get over how I haven't seen them anywhere before. I mean, a light up Lightsaber-shaped stylus? Come on, that's too easy!

Although I didn't grab a pack for myself while hitting up the merch booths, I did make a mental note for future birthdays, Christmases, and heck, even anniversaries. There's never really a bad time for Star Wars.

Star Wars Clone Wars: Republic Heroes First Impressions

I got to meet up with my pals from Lucas during E3 yesterday, and they walked me through their Star Wars themed title. A classic battle between good and evil (is there any other kind?), you battle your way through levels wielding your Light Saber and powers of the Force. But this game isn't based on the classic Star Wars franchise - it takes off after season one of the hugely popular animated series on the Cartoon Network, Clone Wars.

Not only does the game look like a ton of fun for experienced gamers and newcomers alike (since the main action involves button mashing and aiming your joystick), but it keeps things fresh by adding in a few new features. To find out what they are, just read more.

If you're familiar with the other Star Wars games (or even if you aren't), then you'll love the added features that come with Star Wars Clone Wars: Republic Heroes. You'll be able to jump on various enemies and take them over, using them against their own kind in a move called "Droid Jacking." Not only is this really fun, but you'll earn achievements as well. Another cool feature you'll find familiar is the "Drop in, Drop Out" co-op play we saw in Lego Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones. Your friends can pick up a controller and jump in, then leave at any point they want. Cool for those fly-by-the-seat-of-their-pants types.

And finally, to keep things interesting, Lucas Arts has added some fun mini games (like shoot-em up, which has you mowing down enemies for points) within the levels. The good news is you won't have to exit your current game, so it's not a hassle to participate. Due out in September, Star Wars Clone Wars: Republic Heroes will be released on the Wii, DS, PSP, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC platforms.

Darth Vader in the Loo: Ian Pool's Superhero Art

Darth Vader definitely loses a little of his intimidation when you see him, uh, on the pot. Such is an example of Ian Pool's work - photography that portrays iconic superheroes and other geek characters in their "real," regular lives.

Check out the other photos on Pool's site for funny shots of the prosaic lives of characters we usually put on pedestals, like Spiderman taking a leak and Batman hanging out in a diner.

Star Wars Quilt: Love It or Leave It?

It may be Star Trek mania right now, but I'm still a Star Wars girl as well.

I was smitten with the Star Wars Throw Pillow when I saw it, and now I am equally taken with the coordinating Star Wars Quilt, featuring an embroidered-on Millennium Falcon (on sale for $197 until Monday).

Think about it: it's not like your duvet, so you don't have to commit to it as a decor option. You can stash it in your closet until your next movie night with your geeky significant other, and remain a grown-up, dignity (and fangirldom) intact.

Star Wars Series 4 Mimobot Flash Drives Coming June 10

To help commemorate the 10th anniversary of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Mimoco will be releasing Series 4 Mimobot USB flash drives, which will include Star Wars characters like Darth Maul. On June 10, Star Wars fans will be able to purchase these drives which will be available in 1GB to 8GB storage capacities and will feature preloaded digital extras like Star Wars-themed icons, screensavers, wallpapers, and avatars. You'll also get to see what other fun characters will be included in the lineup.

Don't laugh, but I am the proud owner of a Darth Vader t-shirt that has a sparkly iron-on decal. You could say I like some nerdier things in life, and the Star Wars series is no exception. We all know R2-D2, C-3PO, and Yoda, but what about some of the smaller characters from novels, games, and cartoons? Get your geek face on, and I'll give you the name of either a Star Wars character or makeup shade. Then you'll guess which is which. Use the Force.
