I normally commend Emmy Rossum's red carpet choices; she always manages to be feminine and unique. She took a slight risk wearing this sliced, sheer Ferragamo dress at GQ's Gentlemen's Ball in NYC last night. I'm all about mesh inserts right now, but something is off — I think a higher hemline would have balanced the turtleneck and long sleeves.

Even under a scrunched time line, Milan Fashion Week stunned with numerous beautiful collections. In this roundup, I highlight some of my favorite designers, including Versace, Ferragamo, Fendi, and Armani, to name a few. I admit, Dolce & Gabbana's collection was my favorite, but that's not stopping me from showing you Bottega's soft and swirly frock, Gucci's cut-out wonder, and Emilio Pucci's magical prints.

During dismal economic times, designer collaborations are the way to go. “We’re definitely going to see a lot more of these high-low marriages,” said Valerie Steele, of the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology. “People are going to want a lot of fashion for their buck.” With that said, now is the time to nab a creation from your favorite high-end designer for a fraction of the price.

The it-bag has been pushed aside lately to make room for the it-scarf, but Salvatore Ferragamo has found a new way to hold our attention — by creating a line of environmentally friendly bags.

She unusually chose flat gladiator sandals for the occasion apparently due to an injured knee. She wore a black Salvatore Ferragamo full length dress with a fur Felder and Felder jacket adding texture to her ensemble.

Anne stopped by the David Letterman show in an ensemble that will inspire those hesitant to dabble with the moody combination of navy and black. Her pajama-style Marc Jacobs wrap dress from the Resort line looks super sophisticated against black accessories like opaque tights, patent Brian Atwood pumps, and a black Ferragamo woven bag. The oval turquoise earrings and chunky gray cocktail ring are nice, simple touches.

It was one of my favorite movies in the '80s and it is one of my favorite trends now. I don't really see myself in cosmic clothes, but I sure love looking at them. They're so sleek, so severe, so serious.
