Although I complained about the controls and learning curve when I first cracked open Mirror's Edge, I quickly became a bona fide addict. I still play it when I need to escape my day, and with the addition of the new downloadable content on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, I'm sure I'll get hooked all over again.
Mirror's Edge Time Trials has you racing the clock on nine different maps, without the distraction of gunfire, the guilt of beating the crap out of city cops, and being pinched by the fuzz.

I had been looking forward to playing Mirror's Edge since the early months of 2008, all the while hoping it was going to live up to the hype I had heard swirling around it. The good news is, this first-person action title is beautiful to look at, it's a great way to break out of a RPG rut (note to self: must stop playing Fable II), and I was able to do things I had never done before in a game. The bad news?

Dear Casa,
I am an apartment dweller in desperate need of new bedding. My bedroom has an accent wall painted a rich blue, with the remaining walls entirely white. The furniture includes a white, shabby-chic bed with foot board, and silver and mirrored night stands and a chest of drawers.

If, like me, you live in a home that has fairly small rooms, you're always looking for ways to make the space seem more expansive. An easy way to affect a small but significant change is by decorating with wall mirrors. Wall mirrors are often quite inexpensive, and their careful placement can definitely open up a room.

A while ago, I fell in love with Sfgirlbybay's folding vanity mirror (seen here and here), which I suspect she may have picked up at a flea market. I have since been on the hunt for a triptych vanity mirror, but I've not yet made the final splurge. I've come across several options that fit the bill and that I have mixed feelings about, because a part of me is still holding out for an antique one.

Once a year (at least), we all get a little carried away by the excitement of watching our favorite football teams duke it out, or by dance machine Justin Timberlake on stage, and we finish off a few too many beers (and hot wings). Not only are we left with a pounding headache but also dozens of aluminum bottle caps. Of course, you can recycle them.

Craftynest recently gave a makeover to her antique wooden bookcase, and the topping on the cake was a frosted stencil on its glass doors. If you've got a glass cabinet, vase, or even a mirror in need of a little facelift, you can easily recreate this look with a few supplies. All you'll need to repeat this project is glass cleaner, paper towels, a craft knife, a wet erase marker, contact paper, a large stencil, and Krylon Frosted Glass Finish in white.

Skin self-exam means checking your own skin regularly for any abnormal growths or unusual changes. This helps you detect and get treatment for skin cancer or other skin problems as early as possible.
How the test is performed
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) recommend that people perform a skin self-exam once a month.

Medical Societies Issue Tamsulosin (Flomax) Warning
In August 2006, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Urological Association (AUA) issued a joint warning concerning Tamsulosin (Flomax). The societies advised patients to be sure to inform their eye surgeons if they are taking this drug. Tamsulosin is frequently prescribed to treat prostate enlargement.
