I never considered that Mario Kart could lead to some heartbreaking, emotional lyrics and music, but I'm pleasantly surprised by this sweet song that deals with the love story behind a plumber, a princess, and the road ahead.

Last time we saw Carrie Underwood with her DS, she was playing with her virtual pups in Nintendogs. This time she's kicking butt and taking names while racing a few of her bandmates in Mario Kart. She still has that awesome Metallic Rose DS (so jealous), and seems to have a pretty good strategy on how to take out her competition.

I literally did a huge geek gasp when I saw this exquisite Mario Kart Cake on Flickr the other day. Stop me if you've heard this before but, this one has to beat all the other yummy geek cakes I've ever seen!
This chocolate decadent cake, filled with chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, ganache, and buttercream, was made to celebrate the bride and groom — and their love of Mario Kart!

For those of you waiting oh so impatiently for the Wii edition of Mario Kart, you'll have to hold your breath for only another month. Mario Kart Wii will be hitting shelves on April 27 here in the states, but lucky Japanese Wii fans can get their hands on it a whole two weeks and some odd days earlier. I hope we don't have a repeat of the delayed Super Smash Bros.

With Mario Kart for the Wii hitting store shelves April 27, I'm already getting my engine revved up and am dying to get my hands on a Wii Wheel (which just so happens to come with the game!). A wheel is a wheel is a wheel right? Not exactly.
