The December issue of Vogue hits newsstands today as the much talked about model, Lara Stone, scores her first UK Vogue cover. Lara was shot by Mario Testino (who seems to shoot nearly every cover recently) in a feature titled 'Stone Age' where she poses in Oscar de la Renta and Dior.
Inside the magazine there is a photoshoot starring Doutzen Kroes, who may seem like an unusual choice for Vogue UK, but who looks beautiful and Daisy Lowe.

Victoria Beckham is the latest coverstar of Harper's Bazaar. The singer turned designer has shot two different covers for the December issue where she poses in black ensembles. There is also an extensive interview with Victoria where she talks about her solo pop career being "a mistake" and explains, ''I'm a complete control freak.

Tatler magazine is this month celebrating being older than some countries – it's 300th anniversary! The London based publication has been bringing fashion, style and society news for three centuries and is marking the occasion with a very royal covergirl. It promises to be the biggest issue ever boasting 408 pages and a triple fold cover.

The latest issue of Vogue hits newsstands today with a member of rock royalty on the cover. Georgia May Jagger was announced as the face of Hudson jeans earlier this year and has now scored her first Vogue UK cover. She was shot by Mario Testino for the cover and the amazing thing is – she's wearing a very affordable frock!

Yesterday morning began with breaking news that, after 68 years of publication, Gourmet was going out of print, and now we have more details on the magazine's collapse. Although the glossy will cease to exist, the Gourmet brand will live on through book publishing and TV programs. Staffers at the magazine were first unaware, then teary-eyed and harried, as they were allegedly given 48 hours to leave.

Germany's most popular womens' magazine Brigitte has today announced controversial plans to ban professional models from its pages. The publication has made the move to stamp out size zero by replacing them with "real women". Editor-in-chief Andreas Lebert commented, "For years we've had to use Photoshop to fatten the girls up.

Magazines can be indispensable in identifying trends, and while looking through any given issue, I usually spot some hair and makeup ideas. (On that note, Freja Beha in this month's W is so dreamy. Why can't I look that chic when tomboyed out?) It's easy to understand why editors leave credits for certain things: hair products, lipstick, nail polish.

This morning, Condé Nast announced its oldest food title, Gourmet magazine, is folding. There were telltale signs of trouble: the glossy, which will print its last issue in November, just underwent budget cuts. As early as the onset of 2009, rumors were already flying that Gourmet would not see the end of the year.
