Right out of the gate, Apple introduces us to the new 15- and 13-inch MacBook Pros. Not only are these made in the same unibody aluminum case that the rest of the Mac lines are available in, but it's faster and still lighter than most models on the market and will keep you working longer than before: the new lithium ion batteries will last up to seven hours and 1,000 charges before the battery starts to show its age.
And with the new plumped up battery, the new MBP's will hold an up to a 500GB hard drive and 8GB of memory.

In case you missed it (and if you did, where have you been?), Apple announced their newly "refreshed" line of MacBooks, MacBook Pros and MacBook Airs at the 2008 Apple Event on Tuesday. Although I'm stoked about the new trackpad, super-sized hard drives, and upgraded graphics cards, I'm a big fan of how green these new laptops are — and I'm not talking about the color.
Apple seems to have put some hard work into making sure this line of portable computers is the easiest it can be on the environment, and have been able to cut down their excess waste from start to finish.

Protect Your Laptop With A 'See Thru' Case
I always transport my MacBook in a Tucano notebook case but I am still looking for more creative and colorful ways to dress it up. What I've found is this great See Thru Hard Shell for MacBook, which is essentially a two piece snap-on protective hard shell that's compatible with 15" MacBook Pro Core Duo and Core 2 Duo computers. I like the idea of the case because it allows protection and access to all features at the same time.

I've always been in love with old typewriters and now as a gadget writer, I feel like it's a symbolic and romantic amalgamation of where I am now.
