UBoard Desk Shelf: Love It or Leave It?

I just spotted this shelf over on CrunchGear, and I must admit, I love it. The UBoard USB board and shelf ($50) features a glass top and three USB ports on its side. There's even a cup holder that attaches to the side!

I don't know that I'd use the cup holder, but I like the idea of a clear shelf that goes over my keyboard, and the USB ports are pretty convenient. What do you think?

Twitter Lists: Love It or Leave It?

After a long wait, Twitter has rolled out its Lists feature to all users.

The new feature allows you to group the people you follow into categories, which means less clutter on the homepage. Plus, you can view or subscribe to other users' lists. There's also an option to make your lists private, though they default to public. I haven't gotten a chance to play around with the lists feature yet, but I'm looking forward to testing it out. Models Strip Against Climate Change - Love It or Leave It?

A few days ago, an International Day of Climate Action was put on by the global campaign 350.org. Figuring the public is more likely to pay attention to practically naked models than Al Gore (naked or not), the group put together a video of smiling models taking off their clothes because global warming makes them too hot. I'm already skeptical of naked activism, but I think this video is trying to appeal to people who like barely-clothed models. I think they might want to rethink their angle - if global warming causes beautiful people to strip, won't some people think that's a good thing?

Michael Jackson Art Exhibit - Love It or Leave It?

The King of Pop would have been halfway through his comeback concert series in London right now if not for his sudden passing, but his presence is still being felt in that city. Michael Jackson: The Official Exhibition is showing right now at London's O2 Arena, the site of Michael's ill-fated comeback tour. Personal belongings from the superstar's Neverland Ranch are featured, along with costumes, props, and other memorabilia from his epic career. Would you ever check it out, or does it freak you out?

Creative Lingerie Ad - Love It or Leave It?

I don't want to say too much about this lingerie ad running in Germany because I fear it could give away the effect. But I'll tell you this: it definitely makes the point that anyone can have the desire to feel sexy. Check it out and tell me if you think it is powerful or problematic.

These days, I'm not so worried about people gossiping about me to their friends, but more like the entire world on their blog. Not that I ever do anything worth blogging about of course, but still, the threat of being called out online is bigger and scarier than anything the town gossip can say to their friends on the bus ride home. Especially in the world of dating, being a subject for your dates' followers may just make a girl not want to go out at all.

Heather Graham Races For Public Option - Love It or Leave It?

In a new commercial called "Track Meet," actress Heather Graham flashes her toned bod and a bit of cleavage to make the case that America needs a healthy public healthcare option. The spot, sponsored by MoveOn, claims that insurance companies have gotten lazy and bloated from the profits - but a little competition from a fit and lean public option should get the system back in shape. With a new poll showing that the majority of Americans want a government-run health insurance plan that will compete with private insurance, this ad might convince the rest of Americans who oppose it. Do you find it persuasive?

I know I've mentioned my avoid-unless-necessary feelings on emoticons several times, not to mention calling a guy out over his emoticon use (to which most of you responded my friend should chill out).

You loved this emoticon shower curtain; do you feel the same way about these emoticon magnets ($15)? They're 2.5 inches in diameter, so they'll definitely make a statement on the fridge. What do you think?

Trying to get someone to "act natural" in front of a camera is like trying to perfect my costume for a Halloween party: I try, but am never 100 percent believable. With most folks, there's always a bit of apprehension that keeps you from getting that perfect photojournalistic (read: candid) shot, but this little gadget may help you out in that department.

The Super Secret Spy Lens ($50) has a discreet side cutout, fashioned with a precise inner mirror so it looks like you're aiming straight ahead, but are really capturing images on the sly. Now, this can be a great tool if you aren't a pro at putting your subjects at ease, but since that's part of the job of a photographer, wouldn't you want the practice? Also, I might feel a bit like a peeping Tom, but maybe that's just me.
