It's been 19 years since we last saw Indiana Jones — who just so happens to be one of my favorite heroes in film — so I was stoked to see the latest installment to hit the big screen. However, I'm even more excited to take home my own copy of the film tonight to add to my collection. Not only to relive the adventure, but to see the extras that come with the DVD!

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was one of the big movie releases this year I was half uber-excited about, and half secretly dreading. As a big fan of the first set of movies, the prospect of a fourth, years later was a little scary. Harrison Ford was 64 years old during filming, and I didn't want the memory of our whip-cracking, snake-fearing hero to be tarnished.

[Cue Indiana Jones theme Song] Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull had its big Cannes premiere last night and it wasn't only the movie's stars clamoring to see the much-anticipated film. Harrison Ford was the man of the hour alongside George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, but looked happiest next to Calista in beautiful blue. Shia got all gussied up and dare I say looked a little overwhelmed with Cate Blanchett at such a huge event.

After being conspicuously absent from the NY premiere of Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull this week, here's Cate Blanchett supporting and representing her movie in her home country, at the Australian premiere of the movie. Following her elegant Cannes appearance, Cate went with a more modern shape with her outfit, wearing a shining gold dress – the colour of which I love on her pale skin, although I'm not sold on the shape. The movie's out in the UK today.

Last night Harrison Ford swung in to New York City for the US premiere of Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, a film that is totally getting my nostalgia going! Cate Blanchett was preparing for the Australian premiere in Sydney, but Karen Allen and Shia LaBeouf represented the cast alongside Harrison in the US – all three of them were beaming with pride. Calista Flockhart showed up in a pretty pale pink dress to support her heroic man, and other guests included Estelle, who represented us Brits.

Well what do we have here? It looks like Shia LaBeouf has already scored his second Vanity Fair cover in less than a year's time — pretty impressive if you ask us. The legendary Annie Leibovitz shot the photos of the Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull cast on the set, including Shia, Harrison, and Cate Blanchett.

With the release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull just two weeks away, Harrison Ford and Shia LaBeouf are about to launch into serious promotional mode, including a stop at the Cannes Film Festival for the big premiere. There's been plenty of buzz about this film since the get go, but we're thinking that having new star Shia on board might help get a new generation of Indy fans. What do you think — does Shia make you more excited to see Indiana Jones?

Cate Blanchett is a fitting cover star for Marie Claire's eco-chic June issue, which also features a whole host of A list environmental activists. Just before she gave birth to Ignatius, Cate chatted about "greenovating" her home, about her her marriage and about filming Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (released on 22nd May).
Here are highlights:
