Since I love uncommon ways to keep power cords stowed away that are still aesthetically pleasing within your home's decor, I was all eyes when I came across this simplistic cord holder. Enough of you sang the praises of good-news reporting outlet Happy News that I knew that finding another similar site would be appreciated.
Optimist World covers the same beat — feel-good, upper news that will cure you of your world-weary blues.
The beautifully designed site also has tabs that direct you to charities and companies that are doing the right thing on the regular.

Love to spend all day using the free WiFi in your local coffee shop? You might have to say sayonara to this, if your beanery is one of the many in New York that are starting to ban laptop users from hanging out.

Geek is certainly going to be chic this Summer, thanks to Ikea's new lineup of snazzy solar-powered lights.
Perfect for warm Summer nights, backyard parties, and dinners under the stars, Ikea's mix of solar-operated lanterns, lamps, globes, glow sticks, and decorative hanging lights are sure to light up any outdoor space.
The way these lights work is each LED light stores the sun's power in replaceable and rechargeable batteries, so you don't have to worry about cords or access to power outlets.

For Dress Your Walls month, I thought I'd repost some bright ideas I had earlier in the year that relate to this month's theme. It's sometimes hard to dig these up from the archives on your own, so I'm finding the best ones for you to save you the trouble. When I find any archived posts that are particularly helpful for this month's theme, I'll run them in addition to the regular posts I'm putting up each day.

You know I love to DIY. But, contrary to popular opinion, I am not actually good at everything. I can paint, sew, garden, hang wallpaper, and even do some plumbing, among other things.
