If you've ever gotten a bad haircut you'll love Hair Mixer, a site that automatically shows different hairstyles (usually ones celebrities have made famous), hair-dos, and haircuts on your picture.
You can upload or choose two photos and compare them to celebrity face-on-hair icons. While I'll never have Rihanna's perfect 'do, the site is really entertaining.

We have a shoebox-size kitchen, so I have rules when my kids help me cook. Once the stove is lit, they need to stay seated at the table. All the tales of dropped pots of boiling water, hair caught in hand mixers, and fingers severed by bread knives have made me cautious.

In last night's installment of Gossip Girl it was "Ivy Week" at school, which is a time for our favourite rich girls and boys (and Dan) to impress the representatives from the top US universities. Over at FabUK my buddy's put up her weekly fashion quiz about the show, and here's some of my thoughts about the episode, which was beautifully named "Poison Ivy":

Kids and appliances just don't mix. I've heard stories about children hiding in file cabinets, climbing in dryers and losing their hair or fingers to hand mixers. But, now a washing machine has been added to the list with a recent story in the Virginia Pilot.
