I use Google Calendar all the time, both to manage my own schedule and to plan events with family and friends. Now, Google has taken what it does best — search — and applied it to Google Calendar.
Called "Smart Rescheduler," the new technology is available in Google Calendar Labs — a similar service to Gmail Labs.

One of the best features of Apple's Entourage and Microsoft's Outlook is the ability to work in several different windows, making composing emails, reading responses, and searching your inbox easy to do without navigating between screens. I figured out a way to do this a while ago, but now Gmail contains this functionality right on the page.
Clicking on the "new window" icon on the top right corner of your Gmail screen will take the window you're working in and open it in its own window.

One of the best jukeboxes I've ever experienced had an incredible selection of music, but one major drawback: instead of album covers designating each CD, the space where the art would be simply listed the available tracks. I'm not knocking it — burning CDs and then just writing down the information is far more cost-effective than buying hundreds of albums, but the jukebox lost a whole lot of ambiance without the artwork. Sadly, my iPod has become a little bit like that jukebox.

Travel season is upon us, and I'll be the first to say I have champagne taste, but am confined to a beer-sized budget. Finding deals on hotels and flights has never been so important, especially with gas prices and travel costs through the roof! So lately, Priceline's "Name Your Price" feature (you know the commercials — William Shatner is the "Priceline Negotiator"?) has been looking more and more attractive, but I've heard a story or two about users who have been less than thrilled with their rooms once they've arrived.

Over a year ago, a report surfaced that only one percent of users use Google Docs. I was quite surprised at the number, and when I asked, it turns out that most of you were using the service. (Hooray for early adopters!)
Now, a new site provides a service similar to Google Docs without having to sign in through Gmail.

If you've got a mean addiction to Facebook and can't seem to go 10 minutes without checking your wall, then listen up: To Visit, Or Not is here to help curb your compulsive online habits. Using a modified URL, To Visit, Or Not lets you set a timer for how often you're allowing yourself to visit a particular website. Just enter in the website of choice (it can be anything from Facebook to your team's fantasy football site), set the timer for the allowed interval (say, every 60 minutes), then use that URL as your bookmark for here on out.

There's no shortage of apps and programs to help you stay organized, from apps that aid in to-do list creation to timer programs to help you stay on task. My latest find: Doris, a clean and simple "productivity tool" that organizes to-dos, deadlines, appointments, and priorities.
You can create categories like "long-term projects" or "tomorrow" to organize your to-dos into sub-categories, and drag items up or down in each list to prioritize.

Today, trying to snag a date online is just as popular as speed dating was in the late '90s. The Internet gives you more options because you can cover a wider area of partner possibilities (as in, the entire globe), but none of that is going to help you if you don't give off the right signals. First impressions are everything — even virtual ones.

I use the "Stickies" application for Mac more than anyone I know. At any given moment, I have at least 10 sticky notes open on my desktop — they're like virtual post-its for remembering everything from my mom's new email address to funny quotes from friends or the day's to-do list. Now, one web start-up is applying the post-it concept to web pages, too.

When you have a million things to do at the office, it's easy to forget things you need to remember. Like that proposal you were supposed to review and send back by today. Whoops!
