I absolutely love the Ferm Living Silk Treebomb Pillow ($110). It's really eye-catching and has an ethereal, wintry quality that's just plain dreamy. But, as much as I think sometimes it's worth it to spend upwards of $100 on a pillow, I'm still wary of it because I've seen so many equally arresting designs at more palatable prices.

One of my favorite wallpaper retailers, Ferm Living, has a few new things in store that I'm really loving. First of all, I think the way this Sewing Kit Wall Sticker ($57.50) is staged is absolutely hilarious. I think it would be clever to use it around a window or doorway in your home, especially one that doesn't have a lot of molding.

I'm currently coveting this pillow from Ferm Living. Can you guess what material it's made from?

Ferm Living is cleaning warehouse in preparation for new goodies in '09, and has put most of its wall stickers on sale and many of its Collection 2 wallpapers on sale for 60 percent off. I've always had a thing for this Waldots Wallpaper ($46, reduced from $115) and seeing its price so wildly reduced may just be the inspiration I need to give my kitchen a little reno. All sales are final though, and quantities are limited, so if any of you are considering a recession-style remodel, I'd suggest ordering a wallpaper sample ASAP.

The geeky wall decals I've seen in the past have been cute, but the subjects (Space Invaders and Super Mario Bros.) seemed more appropriate for application in a kid's room.
Here, though, are some wall decals that feature a modern symbol of technology — the power pole — which come off looking starkly chic. From Ferm Living, these Power Pole Wall Decals (click through to the wall stickers section) would certainly make you feel like you're living in a technological wonderland — but would you want that right in your living room?

Ferm Living has just launched Collection No. 3, a new line of wallpapers, some new wall stickers, tea towel designs in organic cotton, and several pillows in both cotton/linen and silk. This collection seems to go in a very different direction from its predecessors, although some wallpapers from the first two collections have been grandfathered into the third (Bindweed, Feather, and Berry Black).

Christiana Coop of Ferm Living recently shared a DIY project of hers on her blog Clever Spaces, finding yet another use for Ferm's gorgeous wallpaper. She decided to update a Target Secretary Desk ($144.99) by priming and painting it white, and wallpapering the interior with the Ferm Wild Flower (Green) Wallpaper ($115). By measuring the inside sections of the desk first, and then using an adhesive spray to keep them down, the project was pretty breezy.

Ever since I spotted the Ingo Maurer Birds Birds Birds Chandelier ($5,928) in Christiana Coop of Ferm Living's dining room (shown here), I've been preying for one of my own. Made of aluminum wires that can be turned, bent, or stretched, and are attached to goose-feather wings, the chandelier resembles a flock of birds fleeing the coop, taking on a life of its own and allowing for a bit of personalization. I'm a huge fan of the German artist and lighting designer; I love the eccentricity that he brings to his pieces.
