When taking pics of people with a classic point-and-shoot camera, we sometimes get those devilish looking red eyes whereas with pets like dogs and cats, the flash may cause their eyes to look blurry and have a glow. This glow is from the reflection of your flash from the back of their retinas. The closer your flash is to your lens, the worse the glow will be.

Every year the Consumer Electronics Show shows off the brightest, wackiest and most technologically advanced gadgets that will ideally make it to the market during the upcoming year. Though the 2007 CES show in Las Vegas was no different - showcasing robots, gadget accessories, and even tiny hand held PCs, there weren't a ton of items we thought were women-friendly. These are my picks for CES items women will actually enjoy, use and benefit from.

The Wired crew has put together an entertaining collection of CES gadget photos, some of which borderline on perverse, many of which are just plain ugly and all that leave me to wonder, why? It's funny actually, because I'm naturally attracted to most gadgets, but they have to be functional with an air of sophistication. I just see no need to have a humidifier that looks like a pig, when you can have a nice white or silver one.

Samsung Electronics has won 12 International CES Innovations 2007 Design and Engineering Showcase Awards. Samsung's award-winners include three handheld cellular phones, two Plasma HDTVs, two digital audio players, two Home Theater-in-a-Box systems, a multifunction color laser printer, an ultra-Mobile PC, and a cutting edge washing machine. I must say, while the awards are varied, I'm not surprised.

Sony Ericsson has finally released photographs of the rumored new model of the Walkman(R) phone and I must admit, I'm very impressed. The W880 Walkman(R) phone combines the good looks of the hottest thin phones of the day (think Blackberry Pearl and RAZOR) with updated music-centered features of the old-school Walkman.
The W880 will launch within the first half of 2007 when more details will be provided.
