If you can't get enough of Second Life or Sims-like games where you're challenged to create an avatar and personality that succeeds in a virtual world, AND you also happen to be obsessed with one day running your own beauty product factory and company, then I've got the ultimate niche video game for you: Beauty Factory.
When I first glanced at the game, I assumed it was a video game with challenges like, "Coordinate the Lip Gloss to the Nail Polish," or "Ultimate Smoky Eye Challenge," but when I saw the tag line, "Girls just wanna have business," I realized my mistake. Beauty Factory is an exercise in being a cosmetics industry mogul, and has more to do with marketing and innovating than mascara and eye shadow application.

Her wish to become a 'superstar' came true as soon as she met the quirky and famed artist, Andy Warhol.

When you are an art collector, you don't need an interior designer or even color on your walls to have a painfully coveted crib. In the town of Lille in northern France, a French art collector turned a former textile factory into a 557-square-foot loft with a patio. He kept the mill's original crisscross shaped trusses and painted everything white, including beautiful features like cast-iron columns.

Oakland-based design-building studio Because We Can was hired by SunPower to create furniture for their new office in an old Ford manufacturing building in Richmond, CA. This enormous, potential-filled pile of lumber had been taken out of the building and slated to be dumped, but the studio stepped in, deciding the wood could be reclaimed to build something new. After mulling it over, they "decided that benches were the most feasible idea to use the lumber and keep costs down."
