By visiting 1000 Things That Matter, you are encouraged to leave a couple of sentences, or a video, or a picture, to express what matters to you. The blogger who started the project hopes to take the responses and create a short film about the future of telecommunication. Here's what he had to say about his latest venture:
If meaning is created through language then our society is created through its communications technology.

Dear Sugar,
I am really struggling with my emotions at this moment in life. I just moved 1,000 miles away from home in order to attend a great school, but I'm miserable. I haven't made many friends if any, and most of my time is spent in my dorm room alone.

Dear Sugar--
After 10 years, I want to talk to my ex husband. I don't want to rekindle our relationship, I don't want to be friends and I am not pining for him for anything, I just have some things I want to say and some questions to ask. Here is my problem, his wife (the woman he cheated on me with, resulting in our breakup) is adamantly telling me that I have nothing to say to him, that my business with him is finished and I should move on with my life.

You're asking and I'm answering...
Dear Fit,
I am interested in possibly getting an iPod or something similar to use when I work out. I never jumped on the whole iPod train in the first place because the idea of having to pick out songs doesn't appeal to me, since I don't really know what to pick.

Weddings can be extraordinarily expensive and like everything else, the cost of an average wedding keeps climbing. With that said, outlining a budget is imperative before breaking the bank.

I don't know about you, ladies, but there's just something about staying in your own bed, showering in your own bathroom, and using your own stuff that I have a hard time compromising around when the relationship gets serious.
I like a little color, good quality linens, a few nice candles, and other small indulgences that make home feel like sanctuary. I don't want to gender stereotype here, but I think maybe the fellas just haven't been taught what to appreciate or look for in linens.

Yikes. Well, perhaps I spoke too soon about never again having to bear witness to Paris Hilton's private life. As you may recall, a while ago when Paris moved houses she left many of her personal belongings in a storage facility.
