When I first received this bottle of Bordeaux in the mail, its Bad Boy name and whimsical label, which features a black sheep and an arrow labeled "garage," meant little to me. But after doing some research, I discovered the whole thing makes quite a bit of sense.
The inky red wine, which is 95 percent Merlot and 5 percent Cabernet Franc, hails from the famous French region of Bordeaux, which is known for its style of highly tannic, collectible wines.

I'm not necessarily a huge fan of wine, but there are a plethora of wineries in Maryland and most particularly in Frederick County. They always seem to be hosting events, tastings, picnics, music, and I've heard from those that have gone that it's usually a blast.
Go for the atmosphere as much as the wine.

Florence, the home of many of the world’s greatest art, is where I was inspired by the philosophy of Michelangelo. He saw a soul in the block of marble, and felt that it was his duty to liberate it for the world to see. My 11-year-old daughter, Alex, a gifted artist in her own right, understood this artistic sense of duty.

This weekend I hosted a few impromptu, informal wine club meetings. Ok basically I got together with my oldest and best girlfriend Emily and we sipped some new wines together while filling out my wine tasting notes worksheet. Seriously if you want to learn about wine this is a great way to do so!

I recently was at a San Francisco Food Society networking event which was held at Yield. Yield is a new wine bar here in San Francisco that only carries wines that are made organically. It made we wonder how important this was to people in their buying decision or is this just a San Francisco whim.

I found really cute Christmas wine charms that I would like to give my mom as a present this holiday, but I would also like to buy a bottle of wine to go with them (I am working backwards, I guess). She really likes Beaujolis-Villlages from George Duboeuf (pictured) but we have several bottles in the house. Can anyone recommend a similar wine or something new to try?

I went wine tasting in Calaveras County last Saturday with 7 of my best girlfriends. We went to a record breaking 7 wineries and bought a total of 17 bottles of wine. Needless to say when we arrived home at the vacation party, we had a little dance party.
