There's been a time when video games were only making our fingers do exercise. But the other day, when I looked at all the different choices of games we have, I realized that playing a video game can bring you so much further now. And what if I was really doing the character's movements?

I just read a review on the NY Times about Wii Fit coming out, and their reviews were mixed. I am excited to try this out.... I can be motivated in my own home, weather be damned.....

For the last few months, everything has been Wii, Wii, Wii. Everyone wanted one, no one could get one (except me!) and sadly, one woman even died trying to hold her wee for a Wii. Despite the "do you have one?"

All anyone can talk about this month is how much weight you can lose playing video games like Dance Dance Revolution and Wii sports, so it's only natural that a website has sprung up to address the exergaming craze.
WiiHealthy.com was started by a bunch of Nintendo fans that love the revolutionary Wii console. "We are happy that Nintendo chose a new direction with its next-gen machine and we’re happy to tell you that this machine can actually save your life," says the site.

Wii Sports Gage
Nerf Wiimote Cover
Wii Blaster
The item of greatest interest to me is the sports gage (bone). It'd be fun to know how many calories you burn while playing Wii!

For a second, I thought Wii fever was dead and I nearly missed Junemon's adorable photo of her sleepy wii puppii after a rousing game of Wii sports. Thank goodness I didn't because this might be the cutest geeky thing I've seen in weeks. I couldn't decide on a caption, so you have to vote on your favorite.

While Chace Crawford'sGossip Girl character Nate Archibald may hit all the New York hotspots, in real life the actor plays it cool – especially when it comes to first dates.
"The ideal, I think, when you're starting out, is something low-key, like playing the [Nintendo] Wii, ordering in pizza and then grabbing a beer," Crawford, 22, told PEOPLE at Wednesday's launch of the Stoli Hotel in Manhattan.
But come time to step out, the actor says he'd take off "to a concert in Central Park or an NBA basketball game, if she likes sports."

You'd think I'd know this. :p The only thing he's asking for is Better Batter Baseball (which we're getting him) and GI Joes. The child has everything related to GI Joes that exists so that's really not an option (any guess what he wants to be when he grows up?
