Vintage Royal typewriter I wish it would run a monitor. How cool would that be?

I spotted (and loved) Thomas Paul's typewriter laptop case over the Summer, but just recently found even more retro-inspired cases. The Simpler Times Old-Fashioned Cases ($25 each) are made for a cell phone, digital camera, and MP3 player and feature super-retro versions of the modern-day gadgets they're meant to hold.
Given my love for vintage geekery, I'm definitely a fan of these cute cases.

I have done some spontaneous trips in the past couple of years - I haven't thought alot of things through about them, like who I'm travelling with or where I'm going to stay or whether I have enough money to get through it. Makes it more fun, I always say - the suspense keeps me guessing, wanting more and the excitement of it being a risky business keeps adrenline at a constant high. It also gives me the freedom to come up with plans as I go along.

Putting A Financial Spin On Global Warming
by Richard Harris Morning Edition, June 24, 2009 ·
Climate change is a potential environmental disaster — but it's also potentially an economic opportunity. President Obama spoke of it in economic terms Tuesday when he urged the House of Representatives to pass legislation that would address global warming. "The nation that leads in the creation of a clean energy economy will be the nation that leads the 21st century global economy," he said.

The problem is they aren't just goofin'
By Glenn Garvin
You know what they say about monkeys, typewriters and Shakespeare. My question is, if you sat an infinite number of Joe Bidens at an infinite number of microphones, would any of them ever say anything that wasn't infinitely stupid? From his reminiscences about Franklin Roosevelt's famous White House television address on the day of the 1929 stock market crash (that is, three years before Roosevelt was president and 20 years before Americans bought TVs) to his campaign-rally exhortation to Missouri state Sen.

Logic tells us that there must be a first cause. The question what that first cause is, and can we ever define it? What do we know?

come around and say you love me
hang your heart in lights above me
is that too much to ask for?
When the night descends upon us
take a shower dry your hair by the furnace
I'll watch you from the corner
Telephones and old typewriters
words of love along the wires
Let's make it work tonight
Telegraphs and birds that fly
through air so still you hear me sigh
Let's make it work tonight
Tonight, tonight
Then furious you threw the picture
eye cap in hand an awful mixture
That kind of hard love is the worst
I try to speak but you don't hear me
when you're gone you still feel near me for a while for a little while
I've tried Telephones and old typewriters words of love along the wires
But nothing is working tonight
I've tried telegraphs and birds that fly through air so still you hear me sigh
But nothing is working tonight
Tonight, please let's make it work tonight
Please let's make it work tonight, tonight

The Smoking Gun has uncovered a conspiracy that falsely implicated Diddy in an attack on rap legend Tupac Shakur. The LA Times claimed last week to have unearthed official FBI documents that tied Diddy to a planned shooting of Shakur in 1994, two years before his death. While the LA Times did not state that Diddy had any direct connection to Shakur’s murder, the implication was clear - he had a hand in intimidating him because he would not join Diddy’s growing record label.

After a few missed screenings, I finally saw this film in theaters after reading the book. It’s a great adaptation; I did a book to film comparison here.
This film combines a lot of good elements, with a few great ones, to make a splendid little film.
