Being both behind the camera and in front at a time
I’ve been taught a few things or two and a bit of help can make you look fine
SO for the sake of catching ones eye
Now it’s my turn to help you look FLY!
First off "Throw out your old makeup rules!".
I recall a day being made fun of in my high-school bathroom for using my lipstick to make my cheeks glow and now I see even the best makeup artists doing the same!

We've nearly reached the end of Wedding Season on the Sugar Network and while I've given you tips on how to make a wedding website, put together a slideshow for the actual ceremony and even how to hire a wedding photographer, we haven't talked about how to display and share those photos after the big day.
- Digital Photo Frames: Hopefully you included a digital photo frame in your gift registry. If not, make sure to get one and put all your favorite photos on it.

The Latest Human Rights Watch Bombshell
Noah Pollak - (COMMENTARY)
I’m a believer in the truth of O’Sullivan’s First Law, formulated some years ago by the former editor of National Review, John O’Sullivan:
All organizations that are not actually right-wing will over time become left-wing. I cite as supporting evidence the ACLU, the Ford Foundation, and the Episcopal Church. The reason is, of course, that people who staff such bodies tend to be the sort who don’t like private profit, business, making money, the current organization of society, and, by extension, the Western world.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates is objecting “in the strongest terms” to an Associated Press decision to transmit a photograph showing a mortally wounded 21-year-old Marine in his final moments of life, calling the decision “appalling” and a breach of “common decency.”
The AP reported that the Marine’s father had asked – in an interview and in a follow-up phone call — that the image, taken by an embedded photographer, not be published.
The photo shows Lance Cpl. Joshua M.

I needed to make a small batch of cupcakes for a man at church, so I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to both try out The Pioneer Woman's Best Chocolate Sheet Cake Ever and to show you a small tutorial on how I make buttercream icing and how to pipe it onto cupcakes. I felt the need to try this recipe because I have heard so many wonderful things about it, but I wanted to try it in cupcake form, so I halved the recipe. Here's the recipe and the following pictures that I took during the process.

:star: "Bruno Bernard. He has been called the "Rembrandt of photography" and the "king of glamour". Though he also photographed male luminaries such as John Wayne, Gregory Peck, and Elvis Presley, Bernard of Hollywood made his name doing portraits of female stars and starlets of the 1950s such as Anita Ekberg, Jayne Mansfield, Brigitte Bardot, and Marilyn Monroe.

Q&A with Tom Carter, author of CHINA: Portrait of a People
American photojournalist Tom Carter has spent the past four years in the People’s Republic of China, traversing all 33 provinces and autonomous regions not just once but twice. The San Francisco native’s hardback book, a definitive 800-image volume aptly entitled CHINA: Portrait of a People, is due out this winter from Hong Kong publisher Blacksmith Books. Tom took a day off from travelling to discuss the challenges of taking pictures in China, how he evaded censorship in the tightly-controlled republic, and to share a few insider tips on visiting what is to become the world’s largest tourism market.

Photography is one of my favorite geeky hobbies. Cameras are a gadget that you can waste time with and then have something great to show after you're done playing with it (unlike so many others!).
If you've already mastered looking great for the camera, and want to tips for getting behind it check out PopPhoto!

Today at Sephora I looked at this Cargo set of "blu-ray" makeup that was made for being filmed on high-definition TV. I am totally content with my new Makeup Forever foundation that I just blogged about, but I guess I have problems because I really want to buy this too! I didn't have them try it on me because I didn't want to take my makeup off, but I'm really interested in trying this stuff.
