Dear GeekSugar,
I just got a new BlackBerry and was very excited to select my new ringtone and SMS notification sounds. When I am in my profiles, there's an option for setting for In Holster and Out of Holster, but I don't know what that means. Please help!

One of my favorite iPhone features is its camera. It's of impressive quality for a cell phone camera, and has gotten successively better with each generation of iPhone released. Add the plethora of accessories meant to enhance the iPhone's camera and applications to enhance your photos, and my iPhone can produce better photos than my camera.

All things old are new again as vintage gadgets and tech come back with a bang. Since you can already turn your iPhone photos into cool vintage-looking pics in more than a few ways, it's only natural that there would eventually be an iPhone 3GS app that turns your on-the-go videos into retro styled mini movies.
Called the Vintage Video Maker, this $3 app is worth its weight in fun — just capture your video within the app, or load one up that you've already shot, and choose between three old-timey styles: 20's movie, black and white, and 60's home video.

A friend of mine needs some advice: last week, her brand-new boyfriend (we're taking days here, not even weeks) wrote an email list of gifts he wanted for Christmas, sent it to his mom, and CC'd my friend. To be fair, my friend did ask him to send her his Christmas wish list, but she never expected him to send the same list to his mother at the same time.
She's a little freaked out because she thinks this is a sign of him moving too quickly.

Do these glasses make you question, "Is geek really so chic?"
Post your input! Thanks.

One of the benefits of of digital technology is that every email, text, and voicemail is easily saved, stored, and relived. It's helpful when you're dating someone — I think it's both fun and cute to reread old messages. (Though I suppose this can get dicey when trying to cut your ex out of your digital life, but that's a topic for another day).

I've been mesmerized by the online flirting destination and social network I'm in like with you since this past summer, so I was pleased to learn about another youthful community aimed at bringing the online masses together in the name of love (or at least flirting).
The newly launched Geek Flirt is attempting to bring "geeks together as only the internet could." It works the same as most other Internet dating sites and asks users to share personal details and photos to attract fellow flirters, then generates "geek matches" based on compatibility.

When it comes to geeky men, David Duchovny still takes the cake for me. Despite the fact that the X-Files has been off the air for nearly 10 years, it's still alive in syndication and the memory of geeks everywhere. Duchovny, who seems to keep busy with indie film projects and directing episodes of shows like Bones, will reportedly be the lead in an upcoming comedy show on cable.
