Last night, I had the pleasure of chatting with my mom over IM, which is always a rare treat that's full of surprises.
After putting a smiley face emoticon at the end of a sentence, she was determined to get in on the smiley-face action, and create one herself. Her first-ever, smiley face emoticon was achieved.

Thanks to TeamSugar user Girl C for submitting a hilarious story to our Funny Tech Stories group. Her story reminds me that while it's often easier to just take over and help someone fix their computer problems, there are some people that aren't worth reasoning with. Girl C shares:
"I'll start by saying my boss is a tool, and not a useful one!

My dad still calls his e-mail his "www" and my sister calls me at least once a week in a terror because she can't seem to pick up a wireless connection. While some family tech stories are terribly annoying - others are downright funny.
Does your mom think net surfing is a type of sport and your grandma thinks a computer virus is an actual bug?

With most of us heading home for the holidays, it's inevitable that there are going to be those hilarious moments with parents and grandparents whenever the subject of computers or the Internet comes up. For instance, whenever my dad wants me to check his email (he's in phase two of checking his own email, I swear), he says "spin up my www." I'm sure we'll all have a lot of stories to share after the holidays, but to get the ball rolling here is a cute one from TeamSugar user GirlC.

"Loving Care...For the Technically Spare.
"For family members, it is often the most difficult and painful decision they will face: to accept that a loved one — a parent, a spouse, perhaps a sibling — is technologically impaired and should no longer be allowed to live independently, or come near a computer or electronic device without direct supervision. The time has come to place that loved one into the care of an Assisted Computing Facility.

Christina Aguilera’s show was an event not to be missed. That’s why I was surprised to see no big crowds in front of Palats Sportu shortly before the concert was supposed to begin on Oct. 21.

Peri Peri, like WallFlower, had her beginnings as a very humble illustration.
Peri Peri: Original Digital Illustration/Drawing
Funny, when I first created her she got such rave reviews that I created a line sheet, integrating her into some of my original fashion designs.
Peri Peri: Fashion tech pack
But now that I have been spending more time developing her, I see so many things that she looks sick to me and that's what this particular post is really about: developing a work until it meets your own approval in every possible way.
