Tech Dating 101: What's Up With All the Emoticons?
I was out with a group of girlfriends last week when one of them received a text from a guy she'd gone on a few dates with. It read, "Great time last night ;)" — with the winking emoticon. Apparently after every single text he sends (and sometimes midtext, too), he includes an emoticon.

Last night, I had the pleasure of chatting with my mom over IM, which is always a rare treat that's full of surprises.
After putting a smiley face emoticon at the end of a sentence, she was determined to get in on the smiley-face action, and create one herself. Her first-ever, smiley face emoticon was achieved.

i love all the emoticons we already have, but would LOVE to have some more... i know, i know we've gotten spoiled here... i'm always missing this one: :/ - it's different than :irk: , IMO another cool one would be a 'shaking an angry fist' sort of thingy....Sugar Pet Peeves
OK, I have two silly Sugar related pet peeves that it seems like people are doing more and more lately and I needed to post them somewhere, just to get them out and to commiserate, so I figured this was as good a place as any. 1) I HATE it when someone comments "easy" or "easy peasy" in the comments on a Guess Who, Guess What Breed, etc. OK, some of them are easy.WSJ-Careers: Thx 4 the IView
