I love my iPod, but there is a new music player vying for my heart: the slotRadio ($79) by Sansa.
The two-inch-by-two-inch clip-on music player comes with a data card with 1,000 songs from the Billboard music charts, with prearranged playlists by music genre. I tried the additional Health and Fitness mix, which includes the mixes for warmup, cardio, roadwork (cycling), power (lifting), yoga, cooldown, and the even more mellow spa mix.

chicBuds just released a new Bluetooth that is way cool--called PinkTooth. It's covered in crystals but this thing is so tiny, it's about the size of an earring... and it looks, "o so chic"!

Reading through this transcript, I was struck by two things. One was the aroma of self-intoxication. These bureaucrats and artists and activists are utterly besotted by the contemplation of their own virtue.

A jogger wearing one of the popular iPod music players suffered second-degree ear and neck burns, burst eardrums, and jaw fractures after lightning struck a nearby tree.
Doctors say that the wires leading to the iPod's earbuds channeled electricity up the man's torso and into his ears. Linear burns extended from the ears to the cheeks and down the neck, tracing the wires.

Forgive me, geeksugar readers, for I have sinned. You see, I began the Cell Phone Rant Group as a means to call out the mobile phone rudeness of the world, and yesterday, I totally broke a commandment: Thou Shalt Not Talk on the Phone While at the Cashier.
When Cell Phone Rant Group contributor kiddylnd shared her cashier rant, I totally agreed.

I am not only in love with all things geeky, but all things related to music as well. Thankfully we live in a time where we have access to more cool music, more often with sites like Pandora and Mercora making it super easy to get new music into those earbuds. If you have access to the internet (duh) and either Windows Media, Real Player, or iTunes then you're all set to feast your ears on the musical stylings of kexp.org.

Apple is the target of yet another lawsuit, this one over the materials used in the iPhone. Immediately following a report published by environmental group Greenpeace blasting the iPhone for containing "hazardous chemicals," the Center for Environmental Health (CEHCA) has announced that it is suing Apple. The group says that the levels of phthalates found in the iPhone's plastic-covered earbud cords are prohibited in children's toys by the city of San Francisco and by the European Union.

I got an email from a fellow geek and she is desperate to find a great pair of headphones for her iPhone. The Apple earbuds that ship with it hurt her ears (mine too, btw). Since I use the Apple in-ear headphones I thought you guys might have others that you love.

Oh Yeah BABY it's hip to be square!
2G iPod shuffle has an aluminum case with smaller dimensions than a 1G and built in clip is about 1.62 inches and weighs in at 15.5 g (0.55 oz). If size matters this little revamp of the iPod Shuffle is quite the tease.
