"We're looking at the [real estate] market," the 35-year-old dad told the Florida newspaper. "There are obviously some buyers who could use a little help.

Convicted swindler Bernard Madoff was sentenced Monday to 150 years in prison for stealing billions of dollars from hundreds of investors over decades in one of the largest Ponzi schemes in history.
U.S. District Judge Denny Chin called the scope of the fraud "staggering" and gave the 71-year-old financier the maximum sentence allowed, ensuring Madoff would live out his days behind bars.

After the publicist set me straight, I ran down to the beach to find my mother. A left-leaning Quaker who is president of the League of Women Voters in her Texas town, my mother is the least likely person to celebrate the election of a Republican to national office.
But as a young woman she had lived in Alaska, teaching English to natives and living on a houseboat.

Singer Christina Aguilera has been signed to help publicise the Trump International Hotel and Tower, one of Dubai’s largest developments.
The singer will perform on Saturday at a launch party on Donald Trump’s Los Angeles estate.
The Dh2.9 billion (US$789.5m) development features two towers that rise above the Palm’s monorail and central park.
