Blu-Ray Prices Drop
They used to be around $399, Amazon has the Sony BDP-S300 Blu-ray player for $229, and some models from Philips, Insignia, Magnavox, and Sylvania are expected to drop down to $249.
Looks like the slashing prices (like the iphone) trend is starting to kick in, it's probably due to how our economy is now.
Cargo HD Makeup
Today at Sephora I looked at this Cargo set of "blu-ray" makeup that was made for being filmed on high-definition TV. I am totally content with my new Makeup Forever foundation that I just blogged about, but I guess I have problems because I really want to buy this too! I didn't have them try it on me because I didn't want to take my makeup off, but I'm really interested in trying this stuff.

How do I transfer our old home movies to DVD?
Ok, (I hope I'm doing this right) I'm posting this in the Ask A Geek group and I really, really need to know how to transfer my family's home movies to DVD. Our videos date from 1984 to current and they mean a lot to us, we would most likely keep the VHS tapes but want copies for DVD (and I'll probably have edited versions too.) But I need help...I have no idea what I need to get started. I know that their are businesses that offer this kind of service but I'm dubious about what software their using and how to find a reputable pro, trusting someone else with our memories and so on so I thought I would try for myself.15 Reasons FOR Remaking 'A Nightmare on Elm Street'!
