Have any of you downloaded Southwest Airline's Ding software to your desktop? Well, I have and I am so annoyed with Southwest. Why do they insist on making life so difficult for travelers when they want to buy an airline ticket?

Ahh, the challenge of racking up enough miles to actually use them for a free ticket. Business travelers and those who frequently fly via the same carrier can stock up for award travel, but did you know that many major airlines have expiration dates following a period of "non-activity" (usually between 18 and 24 months)?
If you want to still make use of those miles, you can purchase the remainder to get a free upgrade or trip in batches of 1,000 miles.

When the housekeepers at the three Hyatt hotels in the Boston area were asked to train some new workers, they said they were told the trainees would be filling in during vacations.
On Aug. 31, staffers learned the full story: None of them would be making the beds and cleaning the showers any longer.

I really want to fly KLM Royal Dutch Airlines cause they're cheap and they have excellent customer service reviews (or as excellent a you can get for the price), but Orbitz is having trouble booking with them and I don't want to wait too log to book with Orbitz cause the price is going up. On the other hand US Airways has an even cheaper ticket and I could book with them today, but I keep hear horror stories about late flights and them not helping customers with problems they caused. I'm all for being cheap, and lord knows I need every penny I can keep, but is it worth having trouble on an International flight?

Okay so my dad works for an airline meaning we get extremely cheap tickets all around the world for extremely cheap prices. We're on this ticket though that means we only get seats if the plane doesn't fill up which is quite common. We go to a bunch of places, and to be honest it's not all that exciting for me.

Similar to Farecast, Yapta lets you track airline prices so you can get the best deals on flights. Unlike Farecast, Yapta will alert you when the price drops so that you can either get that refund on a purchased ticket or buy that low-fare ticket on the prime flights. Thankfully Switched got the low down from Jeff Pecor, Yapta's PR Director about whether or not you get refunds if ticket prices drop after you buy your ticket.
