NEW YORK – The ghosts may have been abandoned across the street, where the House that Ruth Built is awaiting the imminent arrival of the wrecker’s ball. But from old to new, the New York Yankees left no doubt in the House that George Built that their championship tradition runs as straight and true as a pinstripe.
The Yankees won their 27th World Series title and first in the new Yankee Stadium by beating the Philadelphia Phillies 7-3 Wednesday night to take the 105th World Series in six games.

After World Series win, Joe Girardi stops to help crashed motorist
Guiding his team to its 27th World Series championship tells us little about the character of manager Joe Girardi.
Especially when the feat is compared to what Girardi did after the party at Yankee Stadium ended.
Police say Girardi stopped in the wee hours Thursday to help a motorist who crashed her car into a wall after losing control on the Cross Country Parkway in suburban Westchester County.

BOSTON (AP)—The Boston Red Sox jersey secretly buried under the new Yankee Stadium in a failed curse attempt sold Thursday for $175,100 in a charity auction.
The bid was the highest of 282 for the battered No. 34 David Ortiz jersey, which the Yankees jackhammered out from under two feet of concrete earlier this month.

I've grown to absolutely LOVE baseball in the last couple of years. Especially the Yankees and the Tigers. Ok, only the Yankees and the Tigers.

We left early Saturday morning after 6 1/2 hrs in the car; we got to our friends place. While Scott found a parking spot I took our stuff up to her apartment and unpacked.
I was welcomed but 2 kitties, after putting their gift on the table they loved it.

Sarah Jessica Parker has denied she has gone under the knife to remove a beauty spot from her face - insisting she has not had plastic surgery of any kind.
The Sex And The City star was photographed apparently without her signature facial feature - a mole on her chin - as she stepped out for a baseball game at Yankee Stadium in New York City on Tuesday.
Pictures of the actress clearly show that the previously noticeable blemish has been replaced by a tiny mark.

They say there's no such thing as bad publicity. Madonna is reportedly "loving" all the recent attention she's been getting about her alleged affair with Alex Rodriguez. In fact, she loves the attention so much, she's planning on adding fuel to the fire soon.
