The ultimate revenge and you can dance to it:
Guitarist's anti-airline hit takes off
Agence France-PresseJuly 10, 2009 07:30am
AN irked Canadian musician who accused United Airlines of breaking his prized guitar has taken his revenge, writing a song that has become an internet hit and a public relations disaster for the airline.
Dave Carroll composed “United Breaks Guitars” and posted it on YouTube after he said the airline damaged his treasured Taylor acoustic at Chicago's O'Hare airport last year.
”We were sitting at the back of the plane with the band, and a woman who didn't know we were musicians yells out, 'Oh, my God they're throwing guitars outside',” Carroll said.

Ahh, the challenge of racking up enough miles to actually use them for a free ticket. Business travelers and those who frequently fly via the same carrier can stock up for award travel, but did you know that many major airlines have expiration dates following a period of "non-activity" (usually between 18 and 24 months)?
If you want to still make use of those miles, you can purchase the remainder to get a free upgrade or trip in batches of 1,000 miles.

You've done your homework on plane fares, but, when seeing the cost begin to climb, panic and purchase. Two hours later, the price is back down again even lower than before. I feel your pain, but don't slam your keyboard and give up.

Advertising from the '60s has a bad rap for always being targeted to men. Mad Men proved this last Sunday when Peggy says a beautiful woman throwing herself at a camera is not going to sell diet soda to its audience — women. Don replies, you know how this works: men want her, so women want to be her.

In between keeping her passengers safe and comfortable, Delta flight attendant Robin Schmidt tends to another mid-air mission -- passing journals among the rows so passengers can help her thank American troops.
Over the last five years, Schmidt has filled hundreds of passenger-written journals and sent them to the troops she "adopts" in Afghanistan and Iraq. Not connected in any way to the military, Schmidt said, "This is just part of who I am.

Yesterday morning I had an early flight to NYC. The airport was packed, busier than I have seen it in a long time and the security line was insane. Luckily my husband travels a lot for work, so we get to go in the (much shorter) priority security line.

When the housekeepers at the three Hyatt hotels in the Boston area were asked to train some new workers, they said they were told the trainees would be filling in during vacations.
On Aug. 31, staffers learned the full story: None of them would be making the beds and cleaning the showers any longer.

Obama and the CIA: Making the Terrorists' Day
By Peter Ferrara on 9.2.09 @ 6:08AM
President Obama has decided that the CIA is a greater threat to America than Al Qaeda and Islamic terrorism. If that decision turns out to be wrong, with thousands of Americans dying in another terrorist attack, President Obama and the Democrat Party will end up paying a grievous political price, which would be well deserved.
As former Vice-President Dick Cheney said on Fox News Sunday this past week,
We had a track record now of eight years of defending the nation against any further mass casualty attacks from Al Qaeda.

Obama Is No Reagan: The Polish Lesson Ignored in Iran
By Jeffrey Lord
Barack Obama is no Ronald Reagan.
One need look no further than President Obama's cautiously timid response to the demands of freedom from Iranians. Contrast this with Reagan's response to similar demands from Poles in the 1980s and the miserable inadequacy of the Obama foreign policy is thrust into a stark and shameful relief.
