Inside The Model As Muse Exhibit
Over the weekend, I finally got around to going to the Model As Muse exhibit at The Met. It was quite interesting; set up like an informational timeline. With the progression of time, the information on the actual models became more in-depth and interesting.
Another Look at Love, Preview of Muse
A second preview of Love's September issue, featuring 13-year-old Tavi of the blog Fashion Rookie. The list of "young blood" also seems to now include Taylor Swift, Taylor Lautner, Alexander Wang, and Allegra Versace.
Meanwhile, in the midst of all the single-model dedicated magazines, Muse will feature Natasha Poly in an issue of this sort for their Fall/Winter edition.

Casa's Midday Muse: "Fun Retro Florals" takes on a life of it's own
Back in July of 2007, Casa posted a Midday Muse featuring a retro-floral card design complete with a challenge to incorporate the idea into a room.
We were working on our living room at the time and I was seriously stuck for a piece of artwork that would work above the sofa. But Casa's challenge inspired me well and the solution to my creative dilema was handily presented.

The Met's spring exhibit, organized by the Costume Institute, will be called Model As Muse: Embodying Fashion. It will hilight the influences of supermodels such as Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford, Naiomi Campbell, Gisele Bunchen and many other supermodels of the 20th century. The exhibit will look at the relationship between the world of high fashion, the supermodel, and the ever-evolving idea and concpet of beauty and the impact it has had on the not only this industry, but the world.Victoria Beckham Names David as Her Muse
